I have a pair of Timemore Black Mirrors: a Basic+ and a Nano. Both have the same issue in “pour over mode.” They both go by weight, not ratio, but if you lift to level the bed or agitate the slurry, everything freezes; the timer stops and any additional weight will not register. Fortunately, it doesn’t reset and hitting the start timer button on the left, will re-start the timer and allow additional weight to show. Still, weird design choice making for a fussy workflow.
I mean, if it works, why change it? 😆 the only downside of these scales is that sometimes you stopped pouring 2 seconds ago and it’s still recording weight 😂😂😂😂😂
It seems pretty cool for a pour over or aeropress 😉

I have that basic silver $10 digital scale without timer 😂
