Great video, thanks for sharing. How did you get the u joint out? I’m working on a Takeuchi tl140. The u joint is on there super tight … any tricks? Thanks
I just replaced mine on my cat 287b skid steer and now I’ve lost forward control and my left turn is very slow. Reverse and right turn are perfect. I’ve taken them out and put back in 12 times now. Everything is same as I took out. Any idea what may have happened? Thanks for video
@@wrangler6675 hey. Yes I finally got to the bottom of the problem. After I fitted seals the next day I attempted to undo the ball resolver valve to reseal it. I thought the 4 Allen key screws at the bottom were how to undo it. I undid one and fluid poured out. I screwed it back in . Anyway not long after is when I realised I lost forward and left turn so I should have known. Anyway what happened was the 4 Allen keys screws were ball resolver check valve seats. And while I was undoing, it actually sheared in half. and I had no idea. So when I screwed back in, the check valve was ‘dead heading’ thus taking away my forward and left turn function. On the bright side, I’m now an expert at this part of the joystick assembly 👍

Ps, I didn’t strip whole unit out, I just undid joystick and retainer and changed on machine.

Where did you get your seals? Thanks
How did you remove and install u-joint?
It's threaded on both ends, everything just screws together
Another waste of time video. Miraculously the joystick unit magically appears on the desk.
