Hello Andy, I watched this video yesterday, actually I watched it a couple of times. Plus I watched Eric's video a couple of times last evening. I went to the golf course today I did my best to implement keeping my Arms Straight as you recommended. It worked wonderfully and I shot my lowest score ever. In fact, I beat my previous lowest score by 3 shots. THANK YOU ANDY & ERIC!
I've been enjoying the tips, and have tried several including this one (straight arm finish) on the range. It works very well for me on the partial shots, like a 110 yd punch into a high wind, but I'm a little less capable on full swings that I've stepped on. I revert back to old habits half the time. But thanks very much for the channel.
I think the slightly bent right elbow at contact is vital. It straightens at the point of stretch limit. I use Alex's tip of, down, out, and up backswing. The best tip ever anywhere. I am now obsessed with the angle of attack away and back through the ball for a nice divot.
I experimented with straight left arm and it just doesn't work for me. It creates tension already att the top of my backswing and consequently my downswing is more of a mainly arm swing with the usual results of different impact problematics. I'm also convinced that ones arms need to be as relaxed as ever possible. George Knudson said: "Don't play golf to relax. Relax to play golf." Interested in finding Alex backkswing video. Do yiu have the link? Thanks
@@manfredgyger I cannot find the video. Basically the backswing is: back of left hand points down, then out, then up. If you do it right it has a great result. Sorry can't help you with the video location.
I think this depends on the physical ability or makeup of the player. Fred Couples and Scotty Scheffler do not keep their left arms straight at the top of their backswing, but naturally, and effortlessly extend their arms thru the bottom of the swing and toward the target. I spent far too many years with a stiff swing and a mental focus on what my arms were doing rather than just letting go and letting my hips drive 90% of the swing.
Before anyone spends time on this, please watch any pro with a down the line view and you will see everyone will have a bent right arm at impact. Yes straight after, not before. Try both ways and see for yourself.
Arms straight and elbows in at minimum will create a consistent strike! Eric C. is always spot on. And you should really check out TS Golf. He has some great vids and his most recent is probably one of the BEST I have ever seen. It's impact position but almost reverse engineering it, so instead of the top like most do it's after impact. Brilliant! I was doing the half shots and you can just feel that great compression, something I rarely feel. ruclips.net/video/mzfwxdrKUBk/видео.html
Great advice. Tom Saguto is also a great watch and very popular
Looks pretty much like Stack and tilt „Arms straight“ ideas. Very effective i think. Thanks for the Video

There is no doubt that there is no one swing fits all, I’ve watched lots of YT tips and some work for me and some don’t 👍
The best part for me is after the ball Andy mate keep arms out defo improves strike and distance
It's a great drill for strike will take time to bed in as usual
I can’t locate the link.
谢谢!
Thank you, very much appreciated 🙏
