20:08 That pause😂. Illustrated the player's surprise. He didn't wanna press the action button. Spoiler I just watched this whole thing from beginning to end. Very well, imaginative story. She was just leaping from pillar to post, handling business then fading into obscurity.
Really impressive audio and visual design. It's easy to tell that lot of work went into it. Of all the things that could have been done differently, the name stands out the most for me. It's hard to get traction when your game goes under in search results from being too generic. I'm glad I found it accidently and hope you find a place in the industry.
The game looks really nice, especially that start forest already had me. I'm sorry for your view time but I'll stop know so that I can play the game without being spoilerd by this video^^
This looks awesome, inspires me to want to keep working on my MV project. Where did you get the music for this? Is this included in MZ? EDIT: ah i see they are original tracks, very good stuff!
The light around the character is the Community Lighting plugin: github.com/ImaginaryVillain/community_lights The light beams underwater is a Parallax image of Sun Beams layered on top of the map
Hey, great game! I was curious what plugin you used in order to give the text scrolling sound-effects for dialogue - I don't think that's base RPGMaker functionality right
Hello, i am Alvi. Really interest to creat a game with rpg maker mz but i dont how to creat a game. Can you help me what i need to learn for creat a game?
you needed to use your own original characters and in your own style! not the once generated by the rpg game maker engine. it just tells a false story. your own unique characters would have set it apart and it would have been that much more engaging and rewarding!
I don't disagree but I will say that as a solo dev making their first game, the skill barrier was far too steep to commit to creating 20+ unique characters; especially considering I had no previous sprite editing/photoshop knowledge. I think creating all original characters would have been great, but the time and effort it would have taken to do that would have tripled the amount of time it took me to make the game or would have prevented me from ever finishing at all. I appreciate you checking out the game regardless!
@@benrossaudio it's always about that first impression you didn't need to create all the characters at once just the essential ones and sometimes you can even get away with one! but you even make the efford and why this tells us nothing new or unique. and as such your name or brand will go down or up with what you make and publish to the world. and once is on the internet it's near impossible to erase!
I disagree. You can tell story with paper dolls and action figures that are fantastic. Robot Chicken doesn't use any original art and has been very successful. It can be fun to do your own art and assets but it is not required. It is very easy to complain about someone else's work but at the end of the day @BenRoss completed a project and I say hats off to him.
@@benrossaudio I personally find it quite amazing how you managed to create quite lovely looking scenary using a lot of the default assets of RPG Maker. It might have been even better with more unique characters but its fine. I haven't watched all of your vid yet because I don't want to spoil my own fun playing it.
@@artmanstudios7037Well the way I look at it, this seems to be the person’s very first rpg maker game they’ve ever made. So it makes sense that they would want to make a game simply for the fun of it and not care about making it absolutely perfect. It definitely shouldn’t be sold like this. But if people are making games for themselves then why not just not bother with art? For some it can make the game making process more daunting, or perhaps they lack the funds to commission artists and the talent to make the art themselves. I think rpg maker games can still be good even with default assets. It just doesn’t mean it can be sold, that’s all.
The game was amazing to play. The music was unique and the battles were pretty original.
Thank you so much! It took a lot of work to make this by myself so it's so gratifying knowing people played it and enjoyed it. I appreciate you!

What an endearing game, I can see the effort and time put into it. The story and music are really good and interesting.
This is pretty awesome, you inspired me to work on my game more. Great work!

Your music is incredible, let me know if you wanna be part of my game. I could use your talent on the music department.
