It is Mendelssohn's second violin concerto (in E minor) but this concerto (like the vast majority of concertos) is only three movements. So the excerpt we heard is from the 3rd movement not the 4th.
Apart from that, the test has an interresting range of difficulty (from really known pieces to less known ones), i'm still pretty impressed you put Tchaikovsky 6 and Mahler in it.
Oh I was in the "Symphony mood" instead of "Concerti spirit" and I thought finale, so 4th 😅 ... oopsie !
I hope to appeal both the experienced and the beginner in my quiz !
@ Ah i understand, it's okay, and yes it's a pretty good thing you put both really known pieces and difficult to identify pieces, it's pretty rare to see a quizz of this kind on classical music today
A lot of new stuff here for me. I enjoyed guessing the composer even if I'd never heard the piece before.
Test this new one : ruclips.net/video/B1weAUp4rpY/видео.html
Very difficult (for me at least)!
Thank you for posting. Who is the exquisite soprano in the Kaiserlied?
I wish I remember, will go to my files
I'm fairly certain it is the Dutch soprano Ellie Ameling
💜
If you liked it, another test : ruclips.net/video/B1weAUp4rpY/видео.html
The wonderfulness of this idea is an order of magnitude amazing
I am grateful for your kind comment.
I will try to do another one or two some day !

Thankyou
Good luck!
Beautiful font. I like your attention to detail. I confess I lost track of my points because I enjoyed just listening, but most of them were familiar to me immediately. Not the Marais. That one got past me. Good luck with your channel.
Many thanks ! I will try other variations of blind test with longer extract of more subtile composers, with maybe some hint ? See you
Very hard, but good! Got 9 out of 20.
Хабанеру пела Каллас?
I don't know if Callas had sang Carmen.
