Torstein has always been devoted to Ragnar and the rest. I won't say that I was moved by this scene 😞Torstein deserved a place in Valhalla more than anyone else❤
Torstein is one of my favorite characters. It was painful to see him die, however his glorious death made his brief and intense appearance on the show even more epic. Torstein is a true warrior worthy of Vahalla, Ragnar's sincere friend. A perfect friend for both Ragnar and Floki.
True meaning of being a northman 💪 We can still apply their ideology in modern times...like even in the face of doom, we should not give up....we should not let bad days consume us. We are meant to fight.
Medically speaking, that actually was the best choice before modern medicine. There really was no option but that to stop from letting rotting flesh eat you away from the inside. The hot blade cauterizes the wound and seals it best and heals faster. Though homie didn't want to live the rest of his life with one arm so he went ahead and died the way he wanted to with a shield in one hand.
Alot of the old characters were so authentic and felt real in season 1 and 2. GOAT side character… You’re damn right. The look from Ragnar-he knew Torstein would soon fall Tough to imagine the kind of balls it took for this type of world & life
Come to think of it, Vikings and Samurai both lived for the thrill of battle and an honorable death. It'd have been great to see the cultural bromance these 2 warrior caste would have had ❤
I just started watching this show as a recommendation of my German teacher. Started watching two weeks ago and am halfway through the entire show. Just started season four the other day and am on like the fourth episode. Such an entertaining show.
I can see him kinda perched there, just his head inside, someone holding his Mead, and a whole boar skewered on a statue of a giant elk beside him, to chew on. He did die with honor and on his own terms at least.
That look from Ragnar was the look of knowing he was probably gonna lose another loyal member of his crew
They all acted goofy and tough but it broke their heart to see him like that.
“Torstein? Is your shield up? Its so dark in here” ☹️
Ragnar and Torstein playing with life or death games while drunk was such a mood.
Rip Torstein . Odin welcome you to walhalla

First time he's seen back in floki's cabin I thought "He seems such an underrated character". It's a pity they didn't develop him more
I agree. I also felt that way about Leif; they killed him off too soon.

The valkyries surely came for that man. One armed, alone, hail of arrows, and still managed to wound or kill one.

Him and the guy who became a sacrifice in athelstens place were my favorite true vikings

Vikings and Spartans have something in common. They relish the opportunity to die in battle as true warriors. Respect
A man with balls of steel!!! Cheers bud 🤘☹️🍻🇨🇦

What a Man! Sacrificed himself for his army and his people!
Guys like Torsten are how the legends of the berserker came about, men suffering mortal wounds and seeming unstoppable anyway
A great warrior and a great ally.
Trully a worthy warrior for Valhalla. Scoll
