      Unfortunately his son was nowhere near the guy at the time of the shooting so protecting his son would not be a viable excuse. If he shot at them while his son was in the room and he was in fear for his son it would be a different story but shooting someone after they have mo lested your son versus shooting someone that is about to m olest your son are two different things in the eyes of the law.

      @TheFox A lot of fathers would do that if their son was being molested and they knew who did it was released from jail or getting an easy sentence despite being a chomo. This is a special circumstance. The jury should nullify this because while it is illegal, it is not wrong.

    • @CypherDND
      @CypherDND 2 года назад

      @TheFox Would you support a lesser included if you were a jury member then? Say, a lower level felony that removed rights to have a firearm but only carried say, extended probation or something like 2 years in with time served plus 3 years probation?
      Id rather it be not guilty, but I think something like that would send the message of dont be a vigilante to the public but not be completely life ruining

    I would have done the same thing if it was me. I was molested as a child and if it happens to my child or grand children I will make sure the person that does it will not do it to anyone else

    We heard a lot about jury nullification in the brooks trial, is this something where we could actually see a jury nullification?

      Ofcourse. All it takes is one person refusing to convict. Just look through the comments here and tell me out of 12 random people you wouldn’t have 1 that refused to convict him

    I love Cain but imagine driving the freeway and your wife or kid that’s in the car with you takes a bullet because some dude is chasing some other dude whilst firing a gun in public. Would you still defend his actions if that would have happened? I don’t think so. That’s why he was locked up, not for what happened, but for what could’ve happened.

    Hope he gets off. There’s been lots of vigilante cases where the father gets off. Like that one guy in the 80s who kidnapped a man’s son and was caught. The dad went to the airport and shot and killed the guy in handcuffs in front of news camera and he was let off. Also a drunk driver crashed and killed a man’s son and the drunk was found dead in his car but there was never any guns. Everyone knew the dad did it and he was also let off. They all were in favor to the father and said they would’ve done the same
