      @@Proxyincognito why are you overating him so much, his work is insane dont get me wrong but there is so much 1 person can do. His skillset is not that much better than those of an average costume maker, makeup artist and CGI animator. What makes his work so great is the amount of time put into it. He puts weeks, months into one little animation. At his pace a company would probably have a full episode in 5 years + and a full movie in like 30 years.

    • @Proxyincognito
      @Proxyincognito Год назад +92

      @@Mathissabourinallard Yes, if he did everything by himself. But he strikes me as someone you'd want on a team. There's plenty things I'm sure he can or cannot do, and much more he cannot do by himself. But there is no shortage of live action movies that aren't or aren't much better than what he's made so far.
      And I am by all means willing to admit ignorance on how good industry professionals are so maybe my frame of reference is just bad. But I'm under the impression that even amongst professionals the skill gaps are very very wide and Jalex would not be the worst amongst them.

      It’s objectively impressive work, but it has that vibe of “anime live action” that makes every anime live action cringe and borderline unwatchable. The Netflix adaptation did such a great job avoiding that feeling by finding it’s own lane that had the spirit of One Piece without trying to be 1:1 with the source material like most live actions. Anime just doesn’t translate to real life which is why anime is such a great medium. You can do things through animation that just look uncanny, cringe, and just flat out wrong with real people and SFX.

      @whynot7507 Год назад +1

      @ellescelestia6953 he made this as one person in a week. It's realistic looking because of the textures and lightning. Which would easily be able to look better if it was more than just 1 person and if he had longer then just 1 month. When I say realistic I mean try comparing this to finding Nemo and you'll see that this looks more realistic.
