Regarding the Lord’s supper, Joshua Himalayas have gone wrong in these verses: John 6:54-55 “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink.” They have taken it literally but Jesus is talking figuratively in these verses. In John 6:54-55, Jesus was figuratively (लाक्षणिक) referring to his body which was about to be given & his blood which was about to be shed for the remission of all our sins at the cross. Most of the time, Jesus spoke in parables and here Jesus is talking symbolically (प्रतीकात्मक रूपमा) of his death at the cross. He is not talking about eating his real body or blood but he is talking of believing in his death. He is saying “Without his sacrifice (giving up his body and shedding of his blood), nobody will be saved. If Jesus meant that bread and wine are literally his body and his blood, how is it possible that he himself tore his bread in front of his disciples and ate and drank his own blood even before he was actually crucified and blood was shed? He was referring to his body which was about to be given & his blood which was about to be shed for the remission of all our sins at the cross. Jesus stays in our heart. Jesus was speaking figuratively in John 6:50, 54. For example, he said he will restore a destroyed temple in three days which took 46 years to build. But here, Jesus was talking about his death and resurrection, John 2:19-21. In John 3:4, Nicodemus asks Jesus how can someone enter and be born again when Jesus says “Noone can see the Kingdom of God unless they are born again. But Jesus was talking about the renewal of our mind. In John 4:15, when Jesus talks about living water, a Samaritan woman did not understand and assumed it to be normal water. But Jesus was talking about him. In John 8, when Jesus said to Jews that he will set them free, jews said we are not slaves to anyone but Jesus was talking about spiritual bondage. In John 9, when Jesus said he has come to give eyes to blinds, people assumed it was physical but he was talking about spiritual blindness. We can see how Jesus used parables So that only his disciples could understand it. If we put faith in bread & wine, it will be idolatry. In the world, people have kept faith in many things and many Gods, But our faith has to be in the right one, the right God who is Jesus Christ. Atonement does come in the Lord’s Supper but at the cross. The Lord’s supper instead points to our union with Christ in his already accomplished crucifixion, resurrection and exaltation. Atonement does not come through any activities such as baptism or communion but it comes by grace through faith alone in the God, Roman 3:25-26.

Regarding the Lord’s supper, Joshua Himalayas have gone wrong in these verses: John 6:54-55 “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink.”
They have taken it literally but Jesus is talking figuratively in these verses.
In John 6:54-55, Jesus was figuratively (लाक्षणिक) referring to his body which was about to be given & his blood which was about to be shed for the remission of all our sins at the cross. Most of the time, Jesus spoke in parables and here Jesus is talking symbolically (प्रतीकात्मक रूपमा) of his death at the cross. He is not talking about eating his real body or blood but he is talking of believing in his death. He is saying “Without his sacrifice (giving up his body and shedding of his blood), nobody will be saved.
If Jesus meant that bread and wine are literally his body and his blood, how is it possible that he himself tore his bread in front of his disciples and ate and drank his own blood even before he was actually crucified and blood was shed? He was referring to his body which was about to be given & his blood which was about to be shed for the remission of all our sins at the cross.
Jesus stays in our heart. Jesus was speaking figuratively in John 6:50, 54. For example, he said he will restore a destroyed temple in three days which took 46 years to build. But here, Jesus was talking about his death and resurrection, John 2:19-21.
In John 3:4, Nicodemus asks Jesus how can someone enter and be born again when Jesus says “Noone can see the Kingdom of God unless they are born again. But Jesus was talking about the renewal of our mind.
In John 4:15, when Jesus talks about living water, a Samaritan woman did not understand and assumed it to be normal water. But Jesus was talking about him.
In John 8, when Jesus said to Jews that he will set them free, jews said we are not slaves to anyone but Jesus was talking about spiritual bondage.
In John 9, when Jesus said he has come to give eyes to blinds, people assumed it was physical but he was talking about spiritual blindness.
We can see how Jesus used parables So that only his disciples could understand it.
If we put faith in bread & wine, it will be idolatry. In the world, people have kept faith in many things and many Gods, But our faith has to be in the right one, the right God who is Jesus Christ. Atonement does come in the Lord’s Supper but at the cross. The Lord’s supper instead points to our union with Christ in his already accomplished crucifixion, resurrection and exaltation. Atonement does not come through any activities such as baptism or communion but it comes by grace through faith alone in the God, Roman 3:25-26.
