May the repairs go smoothly and Dry Rails Talyllyn. To everyone who might get the wrong idea, no this icon of Wales is not being scrapped. Just like UP 3985 will run again though under a new railway, this little engine will be around forever. But like all locomotives Talyllyn needs to be kept safe to run, we all know how Dolgoch earned his name of "Gallant Old Engine" the engine would do it again but safety is key. Engines are a lot easier to repair than humans. These little locos even Douglas would not want his friends hurt, and like his brother Duncan he can be cranky. 😉

@@TheSudrianTerrier653 I think you needed to read the announcement back in April of 2022. RRHMA or Railroading Heritage Of Midwest America owns the 3985 as well as 5511, 6936 and other UP equipment. They made an agreement where IF Union Pacific wanted 3985 back, they can have it back. I don't think UP wants three steam locomotives considering the mam power to maintain all of them. They'd rather focus on the big boy.

Series one of Dreigiau Cadi is already being broadcast. Why go to a fictional railway when they have a real one with all the scenery, props etc already provided free of charge?
I'm a bit sad we'll have no more Stuart/Chris videos! Still my favourite moment was Chris falling down the hole whilst Stuart was talking to camera. Best of luck to Chris in his new job, I'm assuming he'll still be volunteering every so often and I hope Stuart is enjoying Orkney!
Good luck to Chris for his future at the Churnet Valley Railway, I visited the railway now and again. Also, Talyllyn No.1 is looking great, I adore her new livery, Great Eastern Railway Blue with Red Lining, very smart. Hopefully, by 2024, I might come to the Talyllyn Railway to see Talyllyn & Dolgoch again.

actually once 3985 is restored, it's being handed back to UP to continue being one of their heritage fleet.
