People are acting like it’s a tragedy that Mikey lost his sense of humour, but put yourself in his place. You lost your brothers, your sensei, your friends (Casey for exemple) and he feels like he has a responsibility for them all but in the end feels unworthy. That’s a lot of weight and guilt to carry for himself and personally I’m glad it’s Michelangelo who became the Ronin because let’s be honest, if it was Leo or Raph it would’ve been predictable and probably Donnie, but Mikey being the youngest and silliest of the 4 makes an interesting character shift
for people who don’t understand that’s Michelangelo all his brothers died and he became the last Ronin he was going to get revenge for all of his brothers and the souls of his brothers still talk to him it’s sad and sweet
He had to. I see it as all 4 turtles died; Mikey had to kill his humor to become as dedicated as Leo, as fierce as Raph, and as clever as Donny. That brought out the potential that Splinter always saw in him to be the best fighter of all the turtles.
