hey, thanks for making that video. In school we started learning about C++ and I had some problems with this program. I have only used Java till now and I'm still learning my ways here.
when i try to make that hello.cpp file says its not possible and the only thing appearing in the files is main.c but every time i select it my previous code opens which is from another project for which i used the main.c. What am I supposed to do?
For those who do not see the management over to the side there that lists everything in your workspace in the latest version of code::blocks (currently 20.03), go to view>perspective and check mark the option Code::Blocks default.
I am still trying to decide if I want to install codeblocks. I am not sure what it can do for me. I guess the compile and execute button can be handy. Typing gcc source.c -o source ; ./source can get old after a while. There has to be more too it though.
When I click the "hello world" executable file that's created in the bin folder after being compiled, it doesn't work! The code works fine in code blocks, just doesn't work as a stand alone .exe file. I get a bunch of errors about missing .dll files. This is using c++. Now when I use c, the program flashes in the command prompt for a split second then disappears. Am I missing something, why doesn't it work? The executable files don't work!
I'm not an expert either, but .dll files are dynamic linked libraries. These are library files needed for some programs to run, so the files probably can't be found when you try to just run the .exe without using code::blocks. However I'm not sure why these dlls are needed for such a simple Hello World program. As for the command prompt closing instantly: That's probably working fine, but when you run an .exe file that opens in the command prompt, the cmd closes as soon as the program is done. As the Hello World program is so small, it's pretty much done instantly so cmd closes instantly. If you want the command prompt to stay open, open cmd first and then run the file from there (navigate to the directory of the exe file in cmd and then just type the filename of the Hello World executable). As I said, I'm not an expert, so I might be wrong about some stuff, but I hope I could help.
Hi ! I'm just starting investigation open of code. Can anyone wish very easy code's open programme. Easy mathematic, almost child-level ?? Thank you ! Interesting is hight, all else almost 0 ???
