Make sure to put some locktite on the bolts holding the rubber inserts..just lost one after one week of riding, found the rubber but have to put a new bolt in!
Hello there! We ended up buying a Moto Guzzi V85TT and looking for pegs. Ever back in Utah for an adventure please look us up. We were just down there and it was cold again! Not as bad as when we met you guys but could have been warmer. Oh, probably buying these for me and her on pillion.
Hi Kevin! It's so great to hear from you guys!!! Congratulations on the new bike. I have a friend in Ohio that bought one and absolutely loves it! We think these pegs are pretty awesome and can whole-heartedly recommend them. Keep riding and smiling, my friend!
Same! When we were driving away, I was hearing my chain making some noise (replaced it later) but I totally forgot that we had just put on the new pegs. When we got to the next destination, Chris asked me how they were, I couldn't say. That's a good thing, LOL.
@@MotoPhotoAdventures we seem to. Hey Chris was curious if you've upgraded your suspension at all? I've been thinking about it front springs and what have you. I do know there's lots of other brands out there besides rally raid but I don't know if they're any better or what I should go with any ideals what you would go with? Some of the ones I was thinking about are..Wilber, YSS, and Ohins
@@DollyAndFamilyGetOutAndRide this is getting weird...how much we think alike and all...HAHA!!! Seriously though, I went through ALL these exact same questions a few months ago. I talked to a lot of my other CB500X friends as well. And here's what turned out to be the BEST DECISION I've made in modifying my bike!!! I only wish I'd done this sooner. @@MotoPhotoAdventures Thank you so much for that information. I think after we ride our bikes for a while all CB riders would like to see some improvements on the our bikes ride. This information is exactly what I needed.
I put the same set on my 2016. I was really disappointed in how the pegs are canted forwards. Fine when sitting down and riding like it's a sport bike, but absolutely hateful when standing up in technical stuff. I also couldn't put the pegs in the lower position because I found the mount prevented my feet from tucking in close to the bike. Overall, the pegs are an improvement from stock, but if I was doing it again, I would look for a different aftermarket brand.
Thanks for your feedback! That's really interesting to hear, since I find them very comfortable to stand on all day. But everyone's ergonomics are different. So it's good to hear they didn't work so well for you. I'm not sure SW-Motech makes this particular model anymore. Hopefully they've improved things with the current models. Cheers!
@@Jason_MotoPhotoAdventures Hi , i saw that they have a forward lean angle when mounted on the bike frame .. they're canted forward a little.. this may not be ideal when standing up... Can you tell me if the mount can be installed on both side to have different lean angle or if they do have R/L position?? Because it seems so reading the installation manual! thanks
@@ecalzo good question. I don't know the answer to that. I've since gotten a new motorcycle so I can't check either but thanks for watching and the questions !
We had a link to this part # in the description: tinyurl.com/y54ha2wu. However, it appears this particular product is discontinued. I think it has been replaced by the SW-Motech EVO footpegs? Maybe look into those?
We tried and it didn't work. We thought that would be a really smart thing for manufacturers to do...use the same mounting hardware for passenger pegs! But unfortunately, no such luck. :-( He limped his bike down off the mountain with one toe on the broken bracket. Luckily we found a small town with a guy that could weld it so he could get home safely.
@@MotoPhotoAdventures I just looked on my Weestrom and it appears that the passenger peg will fit (though not perfect) into the main footpeg bracket ...the one differences maybe that the size of the pin maybe smaller on the passenger peg

For a short this is amazing. I heard a Thusly and I got a House Boat reference. Great job gentleman.
Thanks Drlynoon Rides! Glad you enjoyed it and caught some of our silly movie references. :-)

When your footpeg broke on the trail did you swap in the passenger peg? I hear they will work in a pinch

I disagree. thanks!
