I take it a lot of people are here because of Dark Souls 3. Nothing against them, I'm here for the same reason. But it really strikes a chord in whatever it is that is the center of the human being, when great games, shows, movies, books and stories lead me to songs I know will stay with me till the day I die. These are the songs I cherish the most.
+YamiGenesis It just fits the whole feel of the games so well you'd think he'd written the song for it. Well, I mean, the lyrics really match with anything in the game, but it's the sound that's the thing. It *sounds* like fucking Dark Souls, and that feeling is not directly contradictory to that feeling.
+Knowlessman That's beauty of it. Like people who discover they are perfect for each other (lovers, true friends, family, etc...) and live a long life together, it's like this song and Dark Souls 3 were a match made in heaven.
+Sky Barnes I did listen... The first three verses: "My head was warm, my skin was soaked, I called your name 'til the fever broke." Hence, a fever or sickness.
+Amy Hotchkiss Nah, I think... I think it is "war." Could be either, really, and TBH I hope it is "war." "Warm" may be a correct description of a fever, but "war" is more interesting; 's a metaphor, saying it feels like your head's fighting itself, waging war against itself. ...Means it friggin' hurts. Much more powerful. Annoyingly enough, though, he does seem to have a habit of dropping the last sound of a word, so it is ambiguous. It could be either one; we'd have to find official lyrics, and I dunno how many artists even put those anywhere you can get at them these days. Maybe he'll do an official lyrics video, or maybe the lyrics are available with the songs, but I dunno.
+Knowlessman It's warm, not war. When you have a fever your head is warm, and you sweat through your entire body. Also fits with the theme of hallucinating and drowsiness.
this is hauntingly beautiful
Words used so beautifully, I'm shivering.
this song gave me fucking chills and brought tears to my eyes
