I've just watched most of this and I am fairly knowledgeable on this drama, the relationship they have isn't toxic or unhealthy. They are supporting each other in a really dark way he truly saved her life and not for any disgusting reason also I wouldn't consider it kidnapping as she willingly followed him and could leave at any time. He is her hero keeping her away from herself and she found something to live for in her dark life, she found a light that may not last for very long or that is incredibly dim but she found something good other than death. I have to admit I don't fully understand these emotions as I've never witnessed it to be completely understanding of their situation but I realised they need each other to get through life. They are living a fantasy that is unhealthy and I still think it is better than ending their lives just like that, since I didn't watch the full drama (partly because there is no more subs) I hope they find true happiness it doesn't need to be within each other I just hope they both can be happy even if it is for a short period of time.

In the end, the boy tells the girl's parents to surrender themselves for domestic violence over the female lead and making her suicidal and boy tell that he recorded everything the parents said about the violence but the mother gets angry and try to kill both of the main and female lead. The boy saves the girl and had called the police beforehand and tells the girl to tell everything what her parents did to her. The boy dies and the girl continue to live happily and married him in her imagination or dream whatever you want to say. There's also a episode where the girl and boy goes to a place which is dark and abandoned. The girl says to boy to marry her. But boy refuses and tells her why he saved her. He tells that he saved her because he also was once suicidal and he didn't had enough courage to kill himself and blah blah. He saw himself in her and stopped her from killing. That's why in the end he knew the girl's mother would kill them so he saved the girl and he can finally die and leave the world. In the end, he also said I'm happy that I'm dying and he did all this to kill himself and save the girl. Many things happen in the drama but I can't tell every detail so, and I'm sorry I am bad at narration
