A Monokell Productions A/V recording, presented by (((unartig))). Camera work by Oliver Müller.
Fragments of this recording have circulated for a couple of decades in various shapes and forms. The world was lead to believe that only 22 minutes of Galás' set was recorded when infact the full hourlong performance was captured, split over two 8mm tapes. (((unartig))) is proud to present the uncut version of Diamanda Galás' Lauschangriff Festival appearance for the first time in 27 years.
the best live video version I have seen yet of "The Masque Of The Red Death".
Absolutely terrifying! Deliciously hellish! The high priestess of darkness! Diamanda never sold herself, she has remained faithful to her art! Once I saw her in an interview and she is a very cultivated woman who knows about poetry and history I love her.
02:20 - the best version of Exeloume. Superbe and mesmerising.
The beginning of her singing is unreal. Gorgeous.
Considering that listening to her music of this time is still deeply unsettling today, thirty years later, it must have been downright terrifying at the time.
I've been there, aged 17 - and it whas positively stunning.
I just imagine what Diamanda would able to do playing in Black Sabbath vocals! Just imagine she singing Black Sabbath or Heaven and Hell...
thank you very much for sharing this entire show.
11:16 Diamanda is so Headbanger:)
Absolute force of nature.
Fantastic i could crying♡♡♡♡
The very first video I watched on RUclips was her version of Gloomy Sunday. It was then hyped as the suicide song. I watched it with a group of friends from class (in high school) in the library's computer room. 15 years later, here I am, basically because of the music. (That vid I watched no longer exists; the ones that exist now are reuploads).
WOW her voice is beautiful
this woman must be god
9:10 choir in one body
Gives me chills every single time
👌🏿
Set list?
Would anyone know what song is the first one she starts with? I'm obsessed. Thank you so much for this video.
I think it's Eweyome. Or it's the second part of the album version of Deliver Me From Mine Enemies
Unfortunately I didn't find it anywhere, but thank you!
bia 11 the song is called "La Treizieme Reinvent"
First song is Exeloume.
13:05 micro is suffering
That's more vocal drive than 80% of Death Metal vocalists! Even Alex Terrible would be with fear of her!
I just got filleted alive.
The weird screaming at 420 what's it called, the track called?
What is the weird screaming throughout the whole concert, you mean :-o
11:11 she sounds like a Kookaburra!
Song at 50:00?
Let My People Go
