Wait, Smarties are different in the US? In Germany, Smarties are little sugar coated chocolate pills, and the sugar on top is really colorful, and you usually get them in a carton tube.

In the UK we have fizzers which are the tablet candy and our Smarties are sugar coated chocolate, it was what actually inspired Mars to create m&m's as he saw them in a soldier's ration pack while travelling Europe.

It’s funny seeing all the smarties comments, I’m from the U.S so the smarties I grew up with wasn’t chocolate. So it was weird to me learning what they are called in other counties. Not all candy across the world has to have the same name people :p
