@BrotherinChr1st Nah this is a bad take. Once you're off the field it isn't proper or respectful in the slightest to this sort of thing unless there's a case like Watson, which let's not get into that. You have a right to feel upset, but to purposely go out of your way to find that person to p-off someone is poor sportsmanship and disrescpectful. Especially in a case where Jones hasn't really done anything bad in his own life outside of the game.

It wasn't Jones, it was the situation. You can still do worse than Daniel Jones, and no team wants that. But having made the divisional round, the odds were low of drafting a prospect better than him, and they weren't likely finding anyone better on the market, either. You can't tank right after winning a playoff game, or you lose the locker room. It was the perfect storm of reasons to still need Jones, and Jones' agent wasn't backing down from QB1 money. So the Giants essentially had their hand forced, and they overpaid to keep the upswing going.

I will say this, as a season ticket holder, don't boo your team, even if they give you reason. And occasionally they may. The reason you shouldn't boo your team at the stadium is simple. It is not going to make them play better. Call into sports media, get tears on the email to your team's account representative, give them a 1 on the how was the game survey, make a website, become a youtuber who chronicles their journey of how their team gave them stomach cancer (not talking about anyone specific) as hypotheticals. but booing your team on the field isn't going to fix anything.
I remember this one NFC Championship game, the QB was just determined to get the ball to this one guy, a home town hero who played his highschool, college, and now professional ball in more or less the same area. Just living the dream. and the QB kept trying to force him the ball and it kept getting picked off. a bunch of people got disgusted and left, a playoff game, tickets going for 5x face value, and they left. Well the good guys won in the most hilarious way possible, an OT walkoff TD to the guy they spent all day trying to force feed, after a 4th quarter of just improbable shit. Man those fans of the losers just they had to be dying. And I have been laughing for so many fucking years.... can you imagine their faces? hahaha. Anyway, what I'm saying is believe in your boys because while the journey through the underworld sucks, the triumphant return to Ithaca is more than worth it.
    Peace.

You can be critical of a player's performance on the field and boo them when they're on the field. You can boo them off the field if they're actually being a dick to people off the field.
Daniel Jones is only one of the two. He's not Deshaun, he's not David Tepper. He's a guy that seems like a nice guy, even if he's performed badly on the field. He doesn't deserve to be booed off the field unless he starts doing stuff like flipping off fans or does something objectively shitty.

You've failed to understand what they're saying. It's about remembering that there's a person under that helmet. If you boo them on the field for performing badly, that's understandable. But if you're going out of your way to boo and harass them off the field when they have done literally nothing in their everyday life to deserve it, you're just being a dick then. Think of it like if you served someone a dish poorly cooked at a restaurant and the person waited until after work was done to find and harass you. That is basically what people are doing to Daniel Jones.

As a 40+ yrs Giants fan I can agree it was in bad taste to be boo'd outside the game, but this is NY, the Fans are passionate and brutal at the same time. IMO Jones deserves every boo and criticism he's getting if not deserves more. Since being rewarded for 1 mediocre season he's thrown more pick sixes (3) than TD's to his own team (2). Every year non stop excuses for him. Done watching this dumpster fire till he's glued to the bench

There shouldn’t be a nice way cause it shouldn’t be an attack on a players character, personally, or his family.
But I wouldn’t stay and boo, at that point I wouldn’t want to think about the team.
