I originally made this to be an intro to a series of translated clips of the Enreco streams. I wanted to make clips that can be enjoyed by English and Japanese speakers alike. The problem is that I am very far from fluent in Japanese, in fact, a reason for this project was to gain practical experience in working with the language, sort of an immersion tactic. But I am so busy with life that I didn't really have time, and of course, it is a daunting thing for me to attempt, being such a newbie at editing and the language; alot of complicated things. I can at least say I learned a bit about editing in DaVinci from this intro.
Speaking of which, the premise is that Fauna learns from Okayu that to make money, you don't gamble, rather, you own the gambling system, or ARE the proverbial House. It seems to me that Fauna might have picked that up from HoloFest, and even if not, it still makes for a funny premise.
Somewhat inspired by things like the Downfall parodies where they take the movie and put subtitles that don't fit, but you wouldn't know that since you don't speak the language, which makes it funny. And, like, that part in Auralnaut Star Wars in the same scene where Vader says, "nooooo", but they dub it so that he's saying, "yessss!". I basically do that here.
Anyway, that WAS the plan, but I don't care anymore. It's technically obsolete, old news anyway, besides the obvious reason I'm not motivated anymore.. It works as its own video too, I think, so there's that at least. It feels like I just make videos about graduations, but really, I'm winding down my interest in Hololive at this highly disappointing rate. It's clear that they're taking the company in a different direction and its not the one I became a fan for, to say nothing of how disappointed I am for the sake of the various talents like Fauna. But back to the "new direction", I personally just want to see games streamed by entertaining people and everything else is tertiary, so you really won't see stuff like this again.
On the contrary, since I'll be between jobs, as of the 2nd, I plan to make a bit of more independent content at least for that month. I certainly hope to have a new one starting in January, but for the meantime I'm thinking I can put some stuff out. When I hopefully do get a new job in January, it will be well paying enough that I will feel at ease enough to continue with a schedule, albeit a restricted one since I'll be busy.
But anyway, you don't want to read about that. Hope this more light-hearted video will remind you of the good times. Although, in retrospect, the haunting background music and source material (the tragedy told in Star Wars III) is kind of fitting.
