    2 of my favorite food in the South VN are: 1) Broken rice with grilled pork chop or ribs. 2) Hu Tieu Nam Vang noodles. You got to try these 2 dishes.

    Not many fast foods in Vietnam. They really like KFC more than McDonald's. When first McDonalds opened in Vietnam I traveled from Hanoi for the opening, because it was such a big event!

    • @businessmalie

      I reckon McDonald’s didn’t gain popularity because of all this competition with French bakeries that offer pastries, their local burgers, Bahn mi, and big chains like Jollibee. I do agree here; I could see more KFC restaurants than McDonald’s.
      When did the first McDonald’s open in Vietnam ? 🇻🇳

      Im Vietnamese. Fast food such as Jollibee, KFC, McDonald's is only a thing for kids and teenagers. My friends used to hang out at KFC until we were in our 20s. After that, we never set foot in any fast food chain any more. Local restaurants are better

      @@lvox6948 I like all kinds of foods. I think I never ate same dish again while in Vietnam. There was such a diversity of all kinds of foods. Every day I could find some new restaurant with delicious foods.

    You are in a wrong area, Lady. Ho Chi Minh city is a place for business and not met for tourist. Its where many countries investors open their business in Ho Chi Minh city and It's also the most crowded city in Vietnam. Danag, Sapa, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Marble Mountain, and Ha Long Bay are built for tourists. Go to Ho Chi Minh city for your vacation is like going to Sydney Australia or New York in the US as for your vacation. But Vietnam don't have violent crime like the US and many countries around the World. But Vietnam do have a lot of petty theft but that goes to all The country around the World when local peoples know you are from another country and would take advantage of you because you are a foreigners. You didn't do no research before traveling to Vietnam.

      @@BinhLe-bz2eu The first time I visited Ho Chi Minh City before COVID-19, I fell in love with the place as a tourist. Three years later, I found a job in HCMC and had more than a year to experience what it's like to be an expat and a tourist in Vietnam. A lot of people forget that not everyone likes beach holidays; many are looking for real culture. This is why places like Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia are so popular-they offer unique cultures, not just fancy hotels and beaches.
      In the past year, I never experienced theft. While I know theft happens a lot at the beaches of Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh City is relatively safe. We occasionally forgot our possessions in restaurants or local cafes and were always reminded to take them with us. Just keep an eye on your stuff in touristy places, and you'll be alright.
      I want to remind you that everything I share in my videos is based on my personal experience, so please respect my opinions and experiences.💜
      And yeah, what's wrong with going to New York or Sydney on holiday? I would love to do that! 😂

    Ok that was 5 reasons, they were all naive and pathetic reasons that a rookie would comment on.
    So wheres the video 50 reasons Vietnam is better.
    Also maybe the mentality and culture in Thailand isnt that nice.
    Vietnamese people are really nice and comparing and commenting on things is really rude.
    Other time living in Vietnam your bad thoughts like this video will gradually dissapear.
    You will become a nicer person in Vietnam. Good luck to you

    Do you know how stupid that is.
    Thailand cant even have its own convenience store it has to have an American company 7/11 own all the countries stores.
    Vietnam entrepreneurship is way stronger.
    They have Vincom and Vimart or Winmart amongst others.
    Even in different cities they have different ones.
    In Australia its also pathetic that our biggest fast food is not Australian its McDonalds. Our biggest taxi is American company as well Uber.
    You should be very proud of yourselves Vietnam.
    Vietnam is doing so many things the right way.
    Thailands sold out lol

    • @fjackson4382
      @fjackson4382 3 месяца назад

      What does any of that have to with the lack of convenience store locations? What is so hard for you to understand?

    • @Creees
      @Creees 3 месяца назад +1

      @fjackson4382 because theres so many in Vietnam. I have no idea what this lady is on about. She has only been here 2 months and she only lives in the touristy area which is mainly apartments and overpriced boring wrstern food and bars.
      Vincom owns that area and they still have convenience stores outside their big building.
      Even in other vietnamese cities theres so many around. In Da Nang theres 4 within 100 metres in the foreign area and thats the medium size street. If you go down the other streets theres more. Then theres the big streets which have so many.
      But anyways id like to keep the bad egg foreigners out anyway who kust come because its cheaper. Thailand wants your money so they do everything the way westerner like.
      Vietnam has much prouder history and do it their way for their people. If you live there long time and have love its so amazing.
      But please stay in Thailand

    This video highlights that Thailand is a begginers guide to south east asia. Vietnam need to adapt.
    Oh wow. It looks like you have done zero to adapt or fit in with Vietnamese culture. Ill agree HCM isnt my favourite city in Vietnam but when crossing the road you cooperate with cars. They wait and you wait
