Take heart look up, your life’s only begun. -unknown- I’m closing in on 70 and I have done as you are doing. With acting, singing, playing and dancing. It all began with seeing the Beatles live in Southern California and hasn’t stopped yet. Through living out of my car to playing a tour in Europe crazy crazy life and times. And at my age I still play every weekend. My word of advice, Don’t give up.
The first time I heard the guitar work in "She Came in Through the Bathroom Window" with headphones on... I cried. This medley just goes to show that the Beatles' genius was so great, even their unfinished junk is better than most other bands best stuff. Now every time I listen to She Came in Through the Bathroom Window, I focus on one of Paul's greatest basslines. This was clearly the Beatles' Greatest Albums
John would criticize the medley saying it was "tossed together" and "junk". Personally, I love it. It may have started as a hodgepodge of unfinished songs, but IMHO, it ended up a masterpiece.
That's how great the Beatles were. John apparently considered it literal album filler... just something to put down so as to have enough songs to put out an album. And we consider it a masterpiece. That's how fucking good the Beatles were and are.
Her Majesty was between Mean Mr. Mustard and Polythene Pam on the British Abbey Road. It fits there, making “The End” truly the end of the album. The original lineup is on the 50th Anniversary Edition.
It's funny that as much as John embraced experimentation during the Revolver/Sgt. Pepper days he would dismiss the medley instead of listening to it as its own thing. Experimentation isn't just playing tape backwards.
My opinion on johns comments in the 70’s is to usually just ignore them. He was kinda bitter and upset and maybe lashing out a bit. Just around the time of his death, he was coming out of this and I believe that in the 80’s and 90’s he would have walked back many of these statements.
Definitely, although it's worth noting that as much of the criticisms he made in those days was about himself as it was directed at the others. Perhaps his self criticism was a way of expressing his regret at being complicit in the downfall of the Beatles, or strategically said to make it seem like he wasn't just doing a hit job? Hard to say...
What makes this channel is your unbridled enthusiasm over the subjects. Being really inspired is the most inspirational force of them all, literally instilling the audience with spirit.
John Lennon might have said some things about his songs as a Beatle but I believe it was whatever mood he was in. I believe he was very proud of all of his wonderful work

I can only imagine that if he saw the financial stability that they have had (his family) since his passing had he still been here he would have come around. Thanks for all your effort (and sharing a bit of your life) -- I grew up listening to them when they were still together (got a copy of Meet the Beatles for Christmas when I was six and went from there) -- everything they did was simultaneously canonical and cutting edge -- never occurred to me that the medley was a bunch of unfinished stuff strung together, thought it was just more of their inexhaustible brilliance -- your videos are often a revelation -- thanks again :)

"you never give me your money.....you only give me your....", "...boy, you're gonna carry that weight...carry that weight ....." "she came in through the bathroom window!!!"....as a teenager (1980's) always wondered what the hell these lyrics meant! as a 48 yr old, 'You never give me yr money...' to me, is a song about a lover telling their lover that they never get any affection from them, they try so hard to make the relationship work but 'negotiations' always fall thru. "Carry that weight', whatever trials in life yr suffering with you're gonna have to deal with it, carry it on your shoulders.... I could go on and on.....sigh....

Loved the bio, Hobs! True talk, I don't know if you realize how much we Beatles fans enjoy your videos. Thank you for all the hard work. I'm always looking forward to the next one.
You have certainly helped me revisit the medley and see it in a much better light..I thank you for that! ..and a fascinating insight into your own background..you have come through it on top and seem a well adjusted guy. Kindest regards from UK
This is a stunning, touching video. Thank you for your vulnerability. We all need more of that.
Your “Blackbird”, Twist & Shout”, your acting ability and expressive speaking voice, are a testament to your versatility. Thank you for sharing your personal story..Good luck brotha
Your videos make me really happy. You make me happy. Thank you.
The medley is my favourite I listened to it growing up mum and dad booted it out when i was 3 in the 70s.....step on the gas and wipe that tear away one sweet dream
Nice watch. Thank you for sharing your story.

Thank you for sharing your love of The Beatles here on your RUclips Channel! It's so nice to see others with the same kind of passion for this truly amazing band that took those of us back in the 60s on an incredible "Magical Mystery Tour" of our own.
What an astounding group of trendsetters The Beatles were, and remain even to this very day. I have been following & have subscribed to your channel here for quite some time now. I always enjoy your videos and always find them positive & uplifting.
I especially enjoyed the wrapup at the end of this video where you spoke of your personal gratitude of The Beatles and those who hold dear in your life (your parents, friends, partners, and wife).
Thank you ever so much! Keep Up The Good Work!
