I bought the PS portal and it works awesome for me! In my experience delay is almost non-existant! I do not play multiplayer games on it cause I understand the performance would not be the best, but for single player games it is really nice!
I have the g cloud and I borrowed my friends portal. I do agree the feeling of the portal controls are great. I played both handheld for like 2 hours of gaming. Logitech in hands wasn't bad. But I give the feel to the portal. At the end the Portal is great. But the Logitech just provides so much as seen in the video. But if the portal would do the same it would really be a powerful machine.
This is great! But what RUclips needs is comparison between the GCloud and the Portal. Comparing the PS5 experience between the screens, controls and apps (PSplay vs native Sony app)
Glad you like it, Digital foundry did a pretty in depth view of the PS Portal remote app their conclusion is its the same thing that runs on your phone. They didn't do anything custom so performance and latency is the same no matter the device
I wonder if Sony will add some sort of cloud gaming, maybe when Nintendo launches it's switch successor. Imagine having a subscription based cloud gaming service for the portal so it can be used without having to own an actual ps5 and that at a price tag of 200 bucks. That would sell a lot of units i think
This is so much better than the Portal because if you turn streaming off you can still game with Android games and emulation. Whereas for the Portal nothing to do after streaming. And no one would even dare hacking that thing because it has no micro sd card support. Where would you put your roms on that thing?
100% on the money. For emulating the G-Cloud rocks. Everything including dreamcast works really well and its really PS2 and GameCube/Wii that give it trouble (though it's game specific) most of the stuff I play like MGS -Twin Snakes or Zelda Wind Waker are playable with very minor issues if any
