That thing has to be a wonderful way to introduce music composition to someone, yeah? It's super easy to navigate, big buttons, bright colors. Yet you get a lot of potential for creativity. Despite the beats being premade in big blocks, you get more than enough way to play with them. Like when you have a bunch of similar Lego blocks. So many possible arrangements that you can make something as complex as you want. Neophytes or young children could get so much out of this, use it as a starting step on the way to more advanced programs. I would have thought it was the tits when it came out, and I'm sure I'd still have a lot of fun with it now.
Kind of. A similar program (Magix Music Maker) got me into wanting to make music at all, though you hit the limitations with it quite quickly which is where you'd start looking for better things to work with. I won't say I learned much of actual music composition with it though.

This program felt like it was from the early 2000's... which makes this so fucking awesome.
I was born in 2003, and my first operating system was Windows XP, my favorite version of it was Media Center Edition 2005, which has that flair of early 2000's nostalgia. You'd be making music with this program while your Windows XP theme is Royal, having ATI intigrated graphics to play your early to late 2000's games like MySims and SimCity 4 and Need For Speed: Most Wanted (2005), having your screen saver the Space screen saver, watching your DVD movies using Windows Party Mode, watching Freakazoid on Windows Media Player, playing 3D Pinball Space Cadet, Minesweeper, Internet Hearts, and more!

holy crap. I remember buying Dance eJay when I was 17! I played with it so much. Eventually I started feeling a bit silly as the program felt like it was designed for babies and not a serious musician.
I looked up eJay and WOW it STILL EXISTS. They're still making products! That's so wild, considering what a goofy crap program it was, even for its time.
