I remember that pencil back in the 60's before interstate 81 came through Wytheville. We use to travel west on 58 at the foot of the mountain, to 52 in Hillsville then got on 11 (Lee Highway) in Fort Chiswell and headed towards Bristol. Anyway, it has been hanging there as long as I can remember. I'm sure it's had a face lift a time or two since then, I would say.
If I remember correctly growing up in Bristol, VA. We used to go to Hungry Mother's State Park. I think we went thru Wythville then took a little one lane highway north toward the mountains? Check it out! Thx.
I love Wytheville!!! I've stayed there many times when we would drive from sw pennsylvania to FL. I love the log cabin restaurant too. Such a beautiful town. 😊❤✏️

Very intriguing history of Wytheville. Looks like a quaint place and the food looked good, beautiful place. Love that name Graze. That was a big log cabin, I hope the man that built it got to enjoy it. It is phenomenal. I have that Bob Seger album after all these years. It’s a fav. The mansion is nice but I’d hate to climb those steps. Very fitting to turn it into a museum. Haunted? Count me in! The rock house is beautiful too. Great video ❤

Looks like a really nice place to visit. That pencil reminds me of the town of Ticonderoga, NY, way up in the far north of New York State, and the home of Ticonderoga pencils.
Make a video the turn off the comments because you don't like people's opinions, i watch alot of your guys videos , was gonna give my opinion on Soft White Underbelly but obviously you don't wont that so ill be respectful but turning comments off because you don't like opinions is something else.
I'm under the impression getting your comments blocked are an automated attempt at moderation by RUclips. I've had my own comments knocked off for little reason and others complain about this all the time. I very much doubt the content providers are doing the censoring.
@skipperson4077 no I'm referring to the video on the Whittakers, from Soft White Underbelly where they turned off the comment section all together, I'm guessing people like myself had alot to say about that video and they turned off the comment section

The Millwald Theater has brought some new life in downtown Wytheville after it was renovated and reopened a year or two ago.
Another little fact about Wytheville... It was the epicenter of the polio epidemic..

My husband and I just passed Wytheville on Monday on our way back from Abingdon, the last city on our 30th year anniversary trip!
