We lived there 11 yrs ago. We were there for 3 years. We loved it. I worked as a registered nurse in Matte Dei hospital. We loved going to George's for food right there on the front... This video brings back so many memories. Thank you so much for sharing. Xx
My first ever holiday abroad 1993, stayed at Mavina holiday complex Qawra near the bus station, had a ride or two on the old buses with the waggly gear sticks ! Great holiday. Cisk lager lovely jubbly ! Hoping to visit 2024 April / May .
AHHH MY SPB / BUGIBBA 😍 . So many new buildings 🏢 and hotels now 🏩 . As residents we used to like Bugibba/Qawra more in Winter for walks especially on weekends. I'm surprised it was so quiet after reading the increasing monthly tourists figures 🤔. That breakwater pier been there since the 60s. THANKS STEVE 🚶 🎥 👏 . Cheers 👍 🇲🇹 ♥ 🇪🇺 ™
Thanks for sharing info, anyone can show increased tourists figures !! But what sort of tourist, students do not go restaurant, shopping, and walking seaside place, they buy a bottle of water between them and spend the morning classroom and afternoon beach !
Hi Steve that was another excellent video you made, I really enjoyed it so much. The beautiful sea in the summer and winter and i liked the waves on the sea in winter. Malta looks lovely in all seasons. It was great to see France in the video with you.
Nice to hear glad it helped a little. Yes I thought it might be. might come over evening !! I hope you are enjoying it lovely people have been trying to do the sister hotel in Qawra have a great time
Just watched the video Steve .Enjoyed it .we always stay in Buggiba when in Malta. We love this area both day and night plenty to do.There does seem to be a lot of work going on down the front. But will be nice when finished .Weather looks good Steve .Keep the videos coming mate very enjoyable. Cheers 👍👍
Hi Steve '😊 thanks for a nice video, 🙏and hello to La too,( 😇have a good time together you two🕊🕊🕊 ) Well ,👍 I have been in Bugibba one one of my holidays ,💃I like the area ...from Copenhagen DK 🇩🇰
i like that walk on the pier. being an overpopulated small island I think we need a big pier or two for long walks on the sea, similar to that in Southend.
We love the kiosk which is about 1/2 mile further down the road. Bocci has some strange rules! I miss the island, my dad is very poorly so we are staying in England, he needs us! So sad to see that place abandoned. I miss the dancing on an evening down there. My friend Jackie owned Aladdin’s cave which closed due to Covid. So sad!
Nice one Steve...unfortunately I think that the ridiculously high prices are not doing the area any great favours...that's what you get for joining the euro...should have kept your own currency like the Czechs business suppliers I'm in contact with regularly moan how prices doubled when they joined the euro. That pier work looks a big project....may be worth an occasional trip to keep us up to date with progress. My word I hope it's busier in the evenings, or all the local traders are doomed !!Regards...Peter
Hello Steve I was in malta last week only came for a week went had a lovely meal in triq it turisti I had permission from the hotel for you to come and see the hotel I was in but never mind always next time great video Steve keep it up I am back in London left malta last Sunday
Mary 🇦🇺🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️ stayed there in 1977 and 2019. I am watching with 💔 how I wish I could b there ,because of husband health can not, thanks to u I’m there with u , love the 🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊♥️♥️🇲🇹♥️♥️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️👍👍👍
Been to Bugibba think about 5 or 6 times always been in November ( go for the darts ) i honestly don't think i would go to Bugibba in the summer for a holiday if it is anything like it is in winter,it seems very rundown with rubbish all over the place and building work everywhere,i once saw a dead rat (and it was a biggie )in the gutter outside a restaurant think it was up where the bus station is and no joke it was still lying there 2 days later,i cant for the life of me and don't understand why people especially outside the shops and restaurants just pick up the rubbish, having said all that i do actually enjoy it belive it or not and on a plus side Mdina and especially Valletta are stunning well worth a visit, actually heading out in November again.
@EnglishmaninMalta Yep I actually went with my mrs also in November and I didn't think she would like it that much for some reason, but she loved it, the weather helped a lot but she loved Bugibba and Mdina but especially Valletta,so it does have some great places to visit,I just think Bugibba and the surrounding area has been left to run down which is a crying shame.

It was the waterfront hotel in sliema the strand

Malta now like Benidorm in the 70s, One BIG building site, tourists don't forget , and won't return.
Not sure its a record every year !! , My mate lives Benidorm says it booming also !! So maybe thats what tourist want , not old fashion hotels ?
Good video ❤
Thank you and for the support
