When this song came out, Maiden was in it's Paul Di'Anno era and I actually saw Maiden on their Killer tour the next year, before that new guy took over on vocals. But in the end, the question 'why didn't this band do more' is almost always the same - material/writing.

That first line-up from the debut was absolutely killer. Kevin has always been the soul of the band, but I want to say how much I appreciate the bass playing of Kevin Riddles, and Dave Hogg's drumming. Laying down the low end and rhythm with power!

That intro riff is the golden standard. Rest of the song is nice and fun to cover and a wicked song, but that intro riff just eats fretting fingers. Heybourne is criminally underrated!
Great memories of the Ruskin Arms pub in East Ham London, where you could hear Angel Witch in their full glory. Even recall the time they cleared the music bar because all the smoke effects went off in one hit. Fantastic times.
I saw them way back , at the Dutch House on the Sidcup bypass 1978 when they were still a four piece. They had strobes and flash bombs , really impressive.
I think Dave Mustaine has always been a big fan of them. He wears Angel witch shirt in magazine cover, I think its Metal hammer or Decibel , cant remember though.
