Now that I think about it... If Deku had become a villain, it would have been All Might's fault. In Season 1, All Might told Deku he can't be a hero because he was quirkless. And if Deku hadn't tried to save Bakugou from the sludge villain or if All Might hadn't seen Deku try to save Bakugou, Deku wouldn't have gotten OFA and would have probably gotten "picked up/recruited/adopted" by the LOV because of his intelligence, wits, and info about the heroes that he had been writing for the past couple years. (I forget if All Might told him about the hole-in-his-stomach thing before or after the sludge villain incident but-) Deku might also have had major info on All Might, him being an intense fanboy and all, so....{Villain Deku}

I'd watch that. They could even have it as a What If: Where Deku doesn't go the path to find sludge-guzzling Bakugo and thus never got OFA, and fell into a dark spiral. I could see him doing well as a balancing force to Shigaraki, making the League more dangerous. Still, I think as part of canon would be better, where he's made evil but not known to anyone (even readers initially), and after asking Toshinori to talk to him somewhere, he stabs him and flees; people suspect it was Toga in disguise and a mission is organized to try to 'rescue' Deku only for it to eventually be discovered during the rescue mission that Deku himself stabbed All Might.

I keep seeing a bunch of people blame Bakagou or All Might and yeah they definitely have some of the blame but I'd put a hell of a lot more on the teachers at his schools.
They are the ones who kept telling Bakagou that he couldn't do wrong cuz his quirk was strong and looked the other way when all the kids were picking on Izuku. Bullying doesn't get that bad without a teacher or another adult noticing. They just turned their head cuz they didn't see anything wrong with picking on the quirkless kid.
True if Deku really ended up becoming a villain it would be a lot of people's fault,not only Bakugo's and All Might's, and i feel like all might saying "you can't be a hero without a quirk" Would've been the final lil push of the switch since he looked up to all might and all that

I think sometimes it is easier to pick one person to blame but often it is a ton of small things with a few bigger ones that push us over the edge.
I'm starting to think my hero has a subtle running theme of society pushes us to these categories and then blames us for being there (not saying it well).

I actually find it both fascinating and alarming just how close Izuku is to being a villain. It's almost like his life was hand tailored to be a villain's tragic backstory
If you start building consperological theories, then you can come to the conclusion that AFO initially wanted to recruit Izuku for himself due to the fact that both of them are very similar in their way of thinking with analytical abilities. In addition, Midoriya is a master at collecting information and understanding the work of other people's quirks. So just imagine a villain who, even if he does not have a quirk, is still an extremely dangerous opponent who controls the situation from the shadows. Yes, and plus the declared unremarkable, pretty appearance, kind and friendly disposition, and we get a virtually elusive criminal who can only be recognized after his victory.

Somebody REALLY SHOULD make a side manga where midoriya becomes a villian after all might says "you can't become a hero without a quirk" and bakugo should be the protagonist who regrets the things he said to midoriya which is why he became a villian

Imagine an arc where Deku faces a villain q has mysterious powers, which later are revealed to be interdimensional. In the middle of the fight this villain uses his powers and ends up sending Midoriya and some others to another dimension, there they find a world exactly the same theirs but that world was dominated by evil, and one of the world leaders in that dimension is an evil version of Deku, which killed several heroes caused terror on the planet, Deku faces the other Deku in a battle, realizing what he could have become if not saved by All Might.

Bruh If I watched this after the season 2 episode 1 recap I think I might've actually liked Villian Deku better. but uh.. that recap just showed how cool Deku is going to be really soon. just one shots all them villians and it's epic. but seriously tho this amv was pretty good.
