I'd watch that. They could even have it as a What If: Where Deku doesn't go the path to find sludge-guzzling Bakugo and thus never got OFA, and fell into a dark spiral. I could see him doing well as a balancing force to Shigaraki, making the League more dangerous. Still, I think as part of canon would be better, where he's made evil but not known to anyone (even readers initially), and after asking Toshinori to talk to him somewhere, he stabs him and flees; people suspect it was Toga in disguise and a mission is organized to try to 'rescue' Deku only for it to eventually be discovered during the rescue mission that Deku himself stabbed All Might.
I keep seeing a bunch of people blame Bakagou or All Might and yeah they definitely have some of the blame but I'd put a hell of a lot more on the teachers at his schools. They are the ones who kept telling Bakagou that he couldn't do wrong cuz his quirk was strong and looked the other way when all the kids were picking on Izuku. Bullying doesn't get that bad without a teacher or another adult noticing. They just turned their head cuz they didn't see anything wrong with picking on the quirkless kid.

I'm starting to think my hero has a subtle running theme of society pushes us to these categories and then blames us for being there (not saying it well).

That was the most random thing that ever crossed my mind
Imagine deku dropped out of school after failing yuuei and later in the years bakugo noticed smtg off in the villian attacks. Deku became one of the four horses of apocalypse from the villain league and all for one gave him a quirk.

I keep seeing a bunch of people blame Bakagou or All Might and yeah they definitely have some of the blame but I'd put a hell of a lot more on the teachers at his schools.
They are the ones who kept telling Bakagou that he couldn't do wrong cuz his quirk was strong and looked the other way when all the kids were picking on Izuku. Bullying doesn't get that bad without a teacher or another adult noticing. They just turned their head cuz they didn't see anything wrong with picking on the quirkless kid.
True if Deku really ended up becoming a villain it would be a lot of people's fault,not only Bakugo's and All Might's, and i feel like all might saying "you can't be a hero without a quirk" Would've been the final lil push of the switch since he looked up to all might and all that

I think sometimes it is easier to pick one person to blame but often it is a ton of small things with a few bigger ones that push us over the edge.
I'm starting to think my hero has a subtle running theme of society pushes us to these categories and then blames us for being there (not saying it well).
@@Beacuzz exactly and thats exactly why i think it would have been much more interesting to watch if Deku was a villain,cuz then we would've been able to watch things from a villain's pov, and like there r tons of shows about superheroes and it all gets boring after a while, so if the villain was the mc i personally think the show would have been even more popular and interesting than it already is,Not to mention deku is very smart so it would have been interesting to see what he could do as a villain even without a quirk,especially since he knows lots of things about each heros from his fanboy days i feel like he would be a very dangerous villain XD
