Hey Scroft! Oh it really has mate, and on certain maps you’re responsible for some of those great memories! Calmsden, for me, just goes hand in hand with the Farm Hand. Those early days with your red Clio, the Leyland, living out the caravan…just wonderful :) Completely agree though mate, this game is what it is because of modders! I’ve said this many times but we’re a lucky bunch that’s for sure!
I watched all of this wonderful top 10 list and you had some wonderful maps, a lot that I haven’t played. Thinking when you reached number one, that Calmsden didn’t make it. Then I seen a couple of buildings that I recognized. Awwww Calmsden Farm!!! I have played 1000’s of hours on this map. Having at least three different game plays. Thank you so much for all the wonderful thinks you said about this map. This my all time favorite map. I have played on a bunch, but there is always an active game on Calmsden. Thank you!!!!
Thanks Dancer! Glad you enjoyed the video mate and that I was able to introduce you to a couple you haven't played before! Oh yeh Calmsden, I'm sure a lot of us feel the same way about that map. Just perfect! :)
Very nice, we are very fortunate that the developers saw fit to make the platform open ended for modders and content creators to add to it. I was surprised that Loma didn’t get on the list. It’s my current map that I just can’t get away from, big views, long roads, big fields and the atmosphere with those long drawn out sun sets always makes me stop what I’m doing to watch. Actually a top ten might have restricted you a little, do another with “Other maps worth a mention” video mate. The creators deserve some recognition I think.
Thanks Mark! You're absolutely right mate. The game would be an entirely different animal without mods! I know, it truly was a long, drawn out process picking out ten of my favourite. If I was to do a 15 or 20 best maps Loma would definitely be in there. Part of my selection was going back over maps I'd spent a long time playing in the past, ones that kind of meant a lot to me, such as Calmsden & Green Valley :) I completely agree with you though buddy, all map makers/creators deserve huge amounts of recognition :)
I love farming simulator and have owned and played them all since fs15 but honestly the modders are just as much a part of farming simulator as the developers without the modders I truly don't think the game would've gained the popularity that it's has as much as I like it I don't think I would play like I do without the modding community hats off to all the modders out there you guys took a good game and made it amazing literally have thousands of hours into farming simulator and thanks to you streamers as well for helping spread the word and the mods enjoy watching your content
Hello mate! Aah yes Pallegney is a beauty, and had I played it more it may well have made it into this list. There’s soooo many wonderful maps out there, but for me compiling this list, it was only ones I’d spent a good amount of time playing, ones that kind of meant a lot to me, if that makes sense :)
Haha it’s literally the first thing I think about when I go to both of those maps. Even now, 70 odd episodes into my own series on CF, first thing to go through my head…Scroft, Beanie and George :)
I'm always going back to Calmsden Farm. Plus on PC you can add a Hi-res texture and a branding pack, I still have those files hiding in my storage somewhere. As American maps go, Edgewater is the best for me because it introduced swathing harvesting not only on PC but on console, and now standard for FS25
Hello mate! Oh Calmsden’s such a great map isn’t it! So many great memories from playing on it, and from Scrofts series too. And yeh Edgewater’s pretty special too I completely agree. If I had a top three American maps, Edgewater would be one of them, guaranteed! :)
I play 7/10 of the maps shown in this video. I agree to all, but I am a bit sceptic to Holmåkra. That wasn't my thing, I guess. Good video. And now I am looking forward to FS25 even more. :)
Hello mate! Yeh I can completely understand where your coming from, forestry maps aren’t everyone’s cup of tea. Holmakra means a lot to me though just because of my series and the time I spent there :)
1~>Calmsden Farm, 2~>Court Farm Oxygen David, 3~>Carpathian Countryside Mr.Hector, 4~>Pallegney MA7 Studios and 5~>Karhuvaara INF Modding… I play on Console and these are my Top 5 Picks for Best maps of FS22… It’s all about Feel and the Details for me… ✌️🎄🚜🍁
Calmsden Farm is my absolute favourite. It's a map that perfectly suits the way i like to play FS and provided a beautiful environment to spend some time in. My only criticism is not being able to remove certain fences and gates. I like to convert the pig pasture into a grass field and it would be nice not to have a femce separating it from the neighbouring grass pasture.
@@Farmer-Sim yeah, I'm fine. Gave that RUclips Thing another try - but failed again. It's such a time eater... Focussed to telling Stories at Instagram now
Hello mate! Sorry you've had that experience with Richlands! With this game being as complex as it is, with literally 1000's of mods available, almost all issues can be whittled down to one or two mods causing a problem. Even just having it in your mod folder, inactive in a game can cause issues. Knowing how much time goes in to creating a map/mod, I don't think we can say the modder doesn't care.
Thankyou mate! You were struggling for a new map, and now after watching my video, you’re still struggling for a new map hahaha! Yeh there’s so many amazing maps to choose from isn’t there, you can be spoilt for choice! :)
Hello mate! Kinda straight forward really, the only vehicle I was operating was a big digger at the bottom of the mine, so I set up a loop course for dumper trucks to come down the hill to the bottom, wait for me to load it up, then back up the hill to the dirt processor (I think that's what it's called?) where they would reverse up to the tip point, tip, then back down the hill to repeat the process :)
If i wanted to get into farming sim - would you recommend going for the 22 version over the 25 version? I have heard mixed opinions about the latest version. Thanks :)
Hello mate! In my honest opinion, knowing that FS22 was similar to FS25 immediately after it's release (couple of bugs etc) I would go for FS25. All day long. FS22 is the amazing game it is primarily because of the wealth of mods that are now available for it. And that happens over time. FS25 as a base game, is much better than FS22 as a base game (in my opinion), better graphics, details, general quality etc and in due course when more mods start being released for FS25 it is going to be an incredible game. So if I were in your position mate, I'd buy FS25 and get familiar with the game and it's mechanics, then as you get more into it, the mods will have started flowing giving it a deeper, richer playing experience. Apologies for the long reply, I didn't feel there was a 'quick' answer to that as I felt it needed at least a brief explanation. :)
@@Farmer-Sim Thank you for the detailed response! This really helps with my decision. I'll take your advice and go with FS25 to learn the mechanics while the mod community grows. Looking forward to getting started! 🚜
