I found the Holland thing so sad. He was just a lost soul who wanted to find some kind of beauty in his life, because he never had any beauty or love. He wasn't a bad person, just messed up. Sad thing is he was probably better off dead because who would want to spend the rest of their life in that prison.
Jonathan Rodriguez While I agree to try and and be at peace and not holding hate in your heart, the law is needed. That said, he should have been in a mental hospital, not prison.
I had an uncle that wanted to go to holland. He had his passport confiscated so he jumped off a cell phone tower. That is why this death was so sad for me because this was so similar

John Abruzzi holy shit is he really sandman? I didn't know that, but now that I know it's kind of coming back to me. I remember his face on a behind the scenes video of Mw3. That's pretty cool I guess.
I think the reason why this was so hurtful to me was because Haywire’s mind was like a kid’s mind. Pure, innocent. He just wanted to go to holland and live there peacefully. That was his lovely and simple dream. And then Alex lead him to suicide. That part when Haywire looks at alex, before jumping, like he’s asking for approval, shows that he was not absolutely certain that it was the right thing to do, and then alex is like “yeah yeah do it” and it’s so heartbreaking to see. Such a strong scene .

0:44-1:04 Mahone's best moment of the series. We really started to see the true Mahone, a man who does care for others but has been drawn in to a bad situation which he desperately wants to get out of. He was speaking from his heart. This is a touching scene.
He was the only character who made funny scenes , me and my dad were laughing so hard at his scenes , the best was when he escaped the prison on the bike with no hands...that’s the saddest death scene i have seen in my life

Seasons 1 was one of my favorite seasons of any series ever. My heart still pounds during the escape even tho I've seen the series about 6-7 times already. Season 2 is probably better then the 1st although I prefer the 1st. I enjoyed season 3 also even tho it had mixed results with fans. Season 4 was hard for me to get into at times. There's a point in the season where I really struggle to get through it, although the final couple episodes is good. Overall an incredible show
Saddest moment in the whole series. Still gets to me. Just like all the comments are saying, Haywire was a good person at heart. It's just a shame he couldn't function like any average human being. Also goes to show how spectacular of a performance Silas Weir Mitchell gave. He sold the character with perfection. One of the most underrated actors ever.
The way he said "out of this maze?" was so powerful. He still felt like he was in the prison, the maze, that he saw on Michael's body. The pathway to hell
Yeah, he also saw the entire world this way. How humans beings were complexing and confusing to him considering how he was abused in his childhood. Great character come to life by a great performance.

Sure with all the Moroccans and Arabs and Africans immigrating to Holland, it will become worse than hell. I'm Dutch too btw Europe is only for Europeans!
This is the most underrated death scene in prison break. I genuinely believe that Haywire was a good person, but due to his mental state he just couldn't recognize the limits. He cared for other people in a way that isn't really there for any other Prison Break charecters.
I looked at his death as a symbol of freedom. Rejected by society, misunderstood and unfortunately incapable of enjoying normal life because he would either be a forever running wanted fugitive or in prison trapped. This was a good ending
What Mahone did was actually a mercy when you think about it. He really didn't wanna kill Haywire himself which would have probably of been a messy struggle kind of death so instead he led him to kill himself. A much more merciful death.
I didn't ever watch Prison Break, but I saw that Silas Mitchell played this character so I wanted to see a clip of him. By the way if you guys want to see more of him and his great acting he plays Monroe in Grimm. I'd highly recommend watching it.

We do see more of Haywire when mahone starts having withdrawls and sees Haywire as a hallucination warning him about micheals plan to ditch him. I found that quite clever as micheal also betrayed Haywire even though he helped out most out of all the convicts besides maybe sucre.
Fun fact, this scene was entirely improvised by the Haywire actor. He forgot his lines and didn't really want to continue with the series either, he wasn't really interested in shooting scenes in Holland. Just watched this scene in the series it’s so sad I was rooting for him to get Holland with his dog Larry it would of been peaceful and just what he wanted his fate is so sad
When I saw this while watching prison break I was going to cry
This scene hunts me to today......he was my fav character. I still use "haywire" as a nickname here and there, but I have low key PTSD from this scene for years now.
