im obessed with this scene, no other versions, beats this one. When i mean this version, i mean the battle between the two, its just so perfect in its very way , how across the universe made it work. I just love it, i actrually get speechless, when im trying to express it. Its so personal, raw, and completely from the soul. They are an amazing pair :)
Absolutley love the Movie AND the Beatles.. Love this version it had so much passion. one of my favorites songs of all time... they did it some justice. X)
@Xmenfan246 exactly! I think the problem with people who criticize the way the songs are done in this movie is that they want to compare to the beatles singing it. And that's not what the movie is about. They never mention the beatles - as far as we are concerned, those songs could've been all written by the characters in the movie. The songs are used as the storyline for the movie, and as such, MUST be sang/played in context. This one is amazingly well placed... and yes, they are amazing.
love this movie so much its funny because for my last coir concert was all beatles and it was all the songs in the movie so i could just watch the movie and practice... hehe
PhenyxinNC thanks for the reply. I saw Janis Joplin live in 1968 in a concert in Warwick, Rhode Island. That is a treasure memory of living in that amazing era. Yes I was a hippy and went 7 years with no haircut. This movie blew me away with the Beatles songs. They did change the world. Sad todays music is so lacking.
@8000cheese haven't seen the movie? she got signed, the rest of the band (including her boyfriend/guitar player, JoJo) didn't. That is their last performance together before she moves out west to record with her new band. Great scene!

You can see the precise moment their relationship ends. And you can feel every molecule of it.

They are both amazing. I’m not really a fan of most female singers, just a preference nothing against anyone, but this chick is phenomenal
