Classic example of why you buy a “guitar” and not a “name”. This D’Angelico is perfect for stage and studio. There’s just no real reason to spend 3x’s the $$$ (imho). Great demo sir!!
Well, I didn't understand a thing you said, but MAN, I LOVE YOUR PLAYING!. I have a 2012 gloss black D'angelico Premier DC, and it's a great guitar! Thanks for the video.
Good review. Today you can buy Chinese guitars and basses, South Corean, Indonesian, Japanese and they have all good quality. Like Mexican. - That was different in the 90s. The progress they made is enormous but no miracle. Very hard working people and good craftsmen. - If you complain about something just change the PUs for original Gibson, Fender or boutique. - Nice playing by the way.
I picked up a new DAngelico Premier Boardwalk from Musicians Friend for less than $500 on a "stupid deal" one night at midnight, on a whim. Sure it was made in Indonesia, but it came with a flawless C neck with medium jumbos, and USA Duncan SH2 and SH4 pickups with 500k pots. It plays/sounds as good as my Gibson, which cost conservatively 6 times that much. :-)
@@davideruocco6096 For the money, it was WELL worth it! I eventually upgraded the hardware to real Grover Imperial tuners, and a TonePros roller locking bridge and locking tailpiece. I also replaced the wiring harness with custom USA grade components (which also added a split option for each pickup and a phase switch). It was great before, but now I can literally play it anywhere, on any gig. :)
Change the d’angelico pick ups to sermour duncan seth lover it will sound much better, even on par with gibson, and it still cheaper than gibson es 335
Great review and playing! Would have been bettee if you compared the higher end range from D’angelico like the Excel or Deluxe, but the Premier stood up amazingly against the Gibsons which triplicates the price of de Premier, the attention to detail on the D’angelico puts the Gibson to shame though
In the market for one a 335 like guitar without busting the bank, and this is the best video I've seen thus far. Thank you kindly for taking the time. Loving the D'Angelico. This video helped me make my decision to make a purchase.
The D’Angelico has a more modern tone. It seems to have more clarity and top end which would cut through nicely in a band. The Gibson is the better guitar but you’d be mad to pay the difference. The D’Angelico every time. I know I have one. It’s not my most expensive guitar but the one I always go to.

潘老师,这把D'angelico 和epiphone的es335比较,那个比较好呢?谢谢!
我个人倾向于D'angelico epiphone可能价格更低一些

谢谢您的视频, 如果能有您的个人见解更就好了。
D'Angelico NY-DC 还有日产
Sounds to me the D'Angelico is a sure win for Jazz.

Hehe. Gibson 335
