This is one of the clearest set of instructions on goal setting I have ever seen. Since I'm targeting self-development, I have even written a related Jim Rohn quote in my planner: "Don't let your learning lead to knowledge, let your learning lead to action." Great post.
Thanks Carsonial! New subscriber here :) I'm glad I found this channel, thanks to the youtube algorithm. Your video on field notes, SHARKS, and this one are so far my favorite ones that I can confidently implement in my life. Your journey has been inspiring. Please keep these videos coming!
Great job... Your editing is getting real good. Using stock footage keeps the video flowing. I've been making videos for like 10 years, mountain bikes, watches and more recently notebooks. My videos have gone backwards in terms of the editing, I'm trying something new. Great video too.
Hi Carsonial, great video! My number one goal this year is to read the Bible more, but this is an excellent reminder with useful suggestions on how to do more long-term goal setting.
Great video! I have a question: you mentioned to pick up the four most important one year goals and work on those. But what about the longer goals? How do you work on them or at what pace, meaning how do you integrate them in your life?
Hey thanks! I review them monthly and yearly to see if I'm doing the things necessary to keep me on track for the longer goals. The way I see it is that if I'm staying consistent with my shorter term goals, they should lead me to where I want to be on the longer ones. Another idea is to 10x the longer goals so see how it changes my frame of mind to make quantum leaps to obtain larger chunks of them earlier. I've recently been thinking about this one as it applies to retirement. If I wanted to retire in 5 years vs 20 years, it would change what I do today. Hope this helps. At the end of the day I think regular reviews of the goals help to remind me of what's important, and ask myself what I'm doing (or not doing) to accomplish them.
What are YOUR top goals?
Closer relationship to the triune God who paid for my sin

Awesome! If you love pocket notebooks, Wal Mart has pocket notebooks (Pen n Gear brand) that are less than a dollar and seriously the besttttt.
I’ll have to look for them next time I’m there!
Eating cereal for meals…..I felt that. 😒
🥣 😎
awesome video
Thanks!
Midori makes a passport sized notebook. Smaller and fountain pen friendlier.
Good to know!
Cereal is a great meal!
I still indulge with weetabix!
@@Carsonial Forgive my ignorance, genuine q: whats wrong with cereal?
@@robmc120 my poor attempt at humor. I like cereal too lol.
@@Carsonial then my apologies for the joke #whoosh ing over my head. May God bless you & your family always!
What do we do when we have too many goals and therefore do not focus on any?
just pick 4 and focus on those, otherwise you will feel overwhelmed and nothing changes.
@@Carsonial Thank you!
