The first death cutscene hasn't been completely removed. My cousin just started playing in Feb. (2023) And got confused (& amused) when she saw this guy floating in the clouds after she died.

6:54 Rooftop Rumble is still in the game, it's just that now all Contact Missions give you more money the longer you take
Contact missions are so worthless even at 3x money when you can just call Franklin and get 85k every 20mins.

Yeah it's still in the game, and boy does it have some of the most aim-botty enemies in hard mode!! yeah, those guys can blind headshot you from cover, at sniper range, using an AK or a pistol! But as a non-OG player, can someone explain to me why it's called "Rooftop Rumble" ???? Where is the rooftop?????????????

I started playing at the tail end of 2022 on pc and I actually got the cutscene the first time I died as well
The bugs and funny interactions was what made this game that much more fun. It was almost always random too. Now, its looking over your shoulder for someone that wants to make their bad day your problem.

Armored trucks were great. Me and my crew would all be in separate vehicles and drive around finding them constantly and would stay close to L.S.Customs so we could get the wanted stars off of us and go right back to finding more trucks. We made a lot of money that way and had so much fun in the process.

2:15 I miss the mechanic cause it made sense for the game for someone to deliver a car to where you stand and wait, but if you keep moving you forgetting where you stood at the moment you called it to make him drive off, he's also a NPC so shooting at him would make him react to bullets, if you select a car from the select option of vehicles you don't have to wait from anyone there if you either use the CEO or MC request Vehicles as a getaway quick option if you in a hurry
They were too lazy to fix that one instance where the mechanic would steal the car.
@@troypowers750 no when you starting to shoot first the npc gets scared off and basically drives off I guess until he's not under fire, I mean if you were delivering a car for someone and there's a shooting, wouldn't you try to avoid it if the car alone takes a hit ?
@@TrymRUclipsMainChannel Sleeping Dogs didn't have this issue, and neither did Scar Face. If those devs were able to figure out how to make this feature work back then, then Rockstar has no excuse. We shouldn't care about that.
Honorable mention: Being able to call in all your vehicles in one click from Mors Mutual
In a world where we have hundreds and hundreds of cars now, this should be the number 1 on the lost lol. Nothing better than getting greifed for 20 minutes and having to call mors 15 times
I really hope Rockstar go back to basics in GTA 6. I want another 2013 - 2015 feeling GTA Online. Sure have heists and stuff but also make other smaller things matter more. I miss the days of races being one of the major bread takers.
I mean at the same time they have a fair idea of what to improve one especially alot of solo heists that’s what I’m excited for in the next entry.
A lot of the "removed" missions are just normally not able to be started because they have been removed from the jobs menu and the map but can still be played if you find an old playlist with them in it, I think one example would be crystal clear out 2.
I loved the ground fireworks! Good thing you mentioned it. One thing that GTA5 might have done but never did was adding the stock market. It seems like they wanted to do it in story mode but it never materialized.
Personally rockstar should bring back some of these features, like the money van/gruppe sechs, giving money, and etc. But we cannot stop modders I will always remember these features😢

I miss the crate drops, especially the rare/golden one or whatever it was called because you got rare and exclusive clothing items, I member the entire lobby would run over to them and fight over who got them first, I also remember being below level 100 and you could get the minigun from them so you could have the minigun before getting to 100 but it would only last until you left the session.

Those 'removed' contact missions aren't really removed. Last time I checked I could still play missions like 'Coveted' and a few others that aren't available from the 'jobs' menu. The mission coronas for these missions appear on the map in free mode at specific times, and once you find one and complete it, the game will suggest the other hidden missions to you in the post mission voting screen. Once you've played them, you can put them in a playlist so you can play them whenever you like.
Just like the armored truck. I had one spawn on me last week or maybe 2 ago.
@@HarveyRetro They still spawn from time to time. I tried robbing it a while ago and got the doors to open but it simply didn't drop any cash.

I remember when Passive Mode didn't apply to vehicles. Nobody could shoot you, but they could still run you over. I had a guy kill me repeatedly with his Armored Kuruma while I was in Passive. I found a tree to run around and he eventually gave up, but man those were fun times! 🤣

Had to think then about how long it had been since the cutscene played for the first online death and it didnt seem that long ago. What about all the gang attacks that have vanished?
Wondered if they had effects on newer missions but it seems they left those, doing a cache collection, stash house or even a street dealer in a gang attack area.. Lots of unexpected fun.
I had totally forgot about the distract the cops option, I now remember farming that so much in my armored kruma lmao
crate drops where my most favourite thing ever, i've got a bunch of clothing items from that era, business battles give the same vibes but not at the same time

The Titan thing still works, but you have to pony up for a Titan and a Hangar. You can use the Vehicle Menu to remotely open and close the cargo bay door. If you have a buddy driving the vehicle in the bay, all the crashing around can make its wheels pop off, which AFAIK is otherwise impossible online.

Best feature the removed imo: The bag sales for MC Labs.
They were the best MC sale missions by far. When eveyone in the MC started inside the building there was a chance to get the bag sale where everyone had the same single delivery target. We then just hopped into the Road Captain Buzzard and delivered all at once.
Would love it if they would finally replace the stupid Post OP, Trash Truck and Sea plane missions with the good old bag sale and Acid sales.

5:34, this also got fun when your Win/Loss ratio was High. Then you could easily get 10X the money for Parking at the end of the race and waiting for him to win.
i still remember trying to play online for the first week or so was almost impossible
So fun fact, when I died the first time, I'm pretty sure a bugged out version played for me. The assets never loaded but my screen turned white and I heard all the dialogue from this cutscene. I was really confused at the time but now it makes sense.
Something I don't often see in these Removed features are the Lester targets
Back then I remember that Lester would sometimes highlight a target and the first one who got the kill got about $10,000 or so
I just remember how my cousin talked about how it's great to make money for people who hadn't unlocked Rooftop rumble yet
Besides Rooftop rumble, I also remember grinding Coveted and Potshot, both of which I'm pretty sure are no longer in the game
Coveted was an easy $18,000 for level 36 players
And Potshot was a Trevor mission that paid alright, but I'm pretty sure that all Trevor missions were removed or at least that one
Unfortunately what you're pretty sure is totally wrong. Both Coveted and Potshot are still in the game, but merely not on mission list from pause menu. Trevor's missions are still on mission list though.
Nowadays when I want to give money to a friend I put like 80% of the heist payout for them, this way we can have fun together and they will be more inclined to continue playing, buying businesses etc

Miss when you can take 0%. I used to join random heists and fight for 0%.
You forgot in crate drops: often times when the game first came out and you managed to loot one of the crates that dropped randomly it sometimes gave you a hat that held two beers on either sides of it, the beer hat. Also sometimes a mini gun… but the rare hat was cool.
I started playing gta the day it came out, I find it impossible to comprehend that hardly anyone plays the phenomenal story. I used to love all the tons of extra missions after you finished the main story.

I remember when the high life update came out with the Zentorno, There was one event week where all Martin missions were double money, Including Rooftop Rumble, MAN! I remember grinding that out allllll week and made like 2 million, And bought the zentorno, Miss those days

there used to be a trick where you can add as many customisation upgrades as you want to a car and buy it for the standard price. They patched that and now when you do this, they’ve included the price of the upgrades to the car
The good ol armored trucks.. Johnny on the spot just driving your car away if a gun shot went off lmao good times.. running coveted , Crystal clear out!! Man time flies.. only if you have the fire works in inventory is the only way you’ll get them.. I still have them on one of my old old accounts
Back in the day we also had these special crate drops. Crates with special and rare items would randomly drop around the map and everybody would race to them to be the first. I loved those back in 2013.
The cutscene is still in the game and I got it in 2022 when I started playing GTA online.
And fun fact, the cutscene is a little different depending on whether you have a female or male character.

I remember playing the game 2013 grinding and I looked back in the next day. My account was completely gone. And you forgot to mention the duffel bags sell missions
I wouldn't have never known about any of this because I didn't originally start in 2013 or play any of the other GTA games I started I think in 2019 and that last one always confused me and it still does to this day
The armored trucks were actually in the game when I joined on xbox one in 2018. So it was removed more recently
I've first known Cris Formage back in the days of CJ in GTA:SA in-game radio, I started playing GTAO in PC back in 2021 and this cut scene is still there... although i'm not sure if PC has still this one after that year though...

Every time there's a Stockade coming out or near the casino and I'm on my Oppressor 1 or 2 or something with lock on missiles and I face towards the Stockade, it locks on to the Stockade.
Same with a random NPC out in the Sandy Shores area. Every time I'm going from my MC Clubhouse in Great Chaparral, hop on my Oppressor and fly to my Cocaine business practically near Stab City, aka the Lost MC trailer park, I'll lock on to some random NPC and I have no idea why.
I remember that they were also ilegal helicopters and planes that would spawn in freeroam where all players were alerted. If a player destroyed it, he would get 30k or something. I remember that it was frustrating sometimes cause when taking it down, it sometimes didn’t count and it would crash without giving cash

There's only a few things I don't remember such as dostract cops, ground fireworks and and those random crates the only thing I remember is that one Christmas when they had airdrops with the beer hat and after that they were available for sometime so idk if thats the same but I miss the old GTA days when it was less chaotic and the colored map

Plus you can make more money from mugging people who be passed out drunk. $7007 to be precise.
When I used to play GTA V on the Xbox 360 there was a hack that you can do by changing your Xbox DNS number and then when you steal money from the small supermarket, you get like 5 million and then you can share it by using the share money feature, I guess that’s why they lowered the amount of money that you can share
We could say that the CEO mission where you have to survive a long time in one vehicle (which you choose) is in fact a rework of distracting the police.
Hunting Pack Remix. It's imo the most fun Adversary mode to do with friends. Still so bummed that this got removed.

The first death cut scene is still on the new gen consoles lol I just got it when I started a new character like a week ago and I was on my Xbox series s when it happened
With the crates, we also have G's cache, it gives you the ammo, snacks, and around 20,000 dollars.
The cutscene when you first die in GTAO isn't removed. I started a new alt acc just a few months ago and I was suprised to see that cutscene. Just because it was like 6 years ago since I've seen it .
A thing that would probably never happen is Cayo perico buff

The worst thing they removed was the lag where gun shots and punches would obliterate your health. It was fun
Not only are these things taken but I’ve experienced even more. The vehicle upgrades we get from Simeon get taken back, and weapons get taken back to. Only weapons I buy stay. Really annoying.
i didnt play in 2013 but i think i remember getting those cash trucks in like 2020-2022 atleast once
those armoured trucks were the heists before the heists became a thing
I know I don't play the game anymore, well until I do my first person gameplay on missions in multiplayer I hope we get supplies in armoured trucks if they come back.

I logged in after almost a year of absents yesterday, just to check out the new content and the overall state of my save. And there it was: A money truck. On the street. As a blue dot on the map. I don't know, if it actually contained money, because I blew it up, accidentally.

Well now they have the guys laying around the map that spawn in a blue dot. You go to him and get $7000, but it's not as cool as the bank truck

I still want ground fireworks back, as far as I'm aware they are still in the game and if you transferred an account with modded millions of them you can still use them too, idk about the E&E version though.
I remember back when they first added the mc stuff you could actually drive cars into your mc and people figured out dupe glitches so fast 😂 much easier and safer to just grind these days

Its so sad to see the love for story mode slip away, as a long term player i couldnt get enough of the story mode i completed it (100%) 2x on ps3 2x on pc and 1x on xbox one.

u forgot when going fort zancudo to cause mayhem, tanks were everywhere and it was scary and fun at the same time because try to being shot by those tanks. but they werent there anymore

rooftop is still there but there was a handful or so of missions that were totally removed and R* removed contacts from even sending them out as you ranked up progressively starting with gerald then lamar who introduced to simeon, then around rp 13 ron/trevor where you got to meet T, then lester, then martin I think was the last unlocked. now you have to call them and they remain locked until you actually find one in the jobs and play it, rather stupid imo
Lmao the Money Trucks I figured out. Accounts from 2013, only played to like lvl 84 and stopped. Well came back a few months ago, saw one, did this, and was disappointed haha..
I miss the mechanic delivering the car, made it feel more realistic (obviously he was buggy, but it was still cool). In GTA 6 I think it would be cool if they added a delivery truck for new cars, so we could watch our cars get delivered & unloaded from the truck. That or just more big dealerships to buy them from in person.
