I've never really noticed by now, but there is an interesting parallel between the Dead Apostle Ancestors who seek eternal life, and Shiki who has effectively been a dead man walking at 10 years old since that fateful day
pretty much, it gets him close to being a cripple but basically he can expand his MEODP which links and even enlarges the lines of death with things in his surrounding, reason how he managed to kill his legs from a distance, basically overheating his brain nerves to understand "seeing death" on a whole new level, that he genuinely starts seeing it in its entirety not just lines.
@@JombysAright the manga mixed stuff from othe routes into the arc route it adapts(though they were added in a good way and not like 2006 fate). Still you are missing some of the context of those things they added in the manga which the othe routes explain/hint at
If I recall correctly in the original VN roa is within the original tohno shiki (SHIKI). Before roa fully takes over SHIKI’s body (which happens in Akiha’s and the maid’s routes) SHIKI had white hair.
Well we found out on beast lair that Nasu said Shiki killed Roa legs along with part of the building so from a feat stand point this is pretty cool it's the first time we see any kill from range with mystic eyes of death perception
@@defonoteleazar4998 No. The differences in the manga are that Roa actually uses his lightning against Shiki rather than just standing there waiting for him to do whatever, which Shiki is able to kill. Shiki kills the bridge hallway and, while they're falling, Roa still tries to blast Shiki while the latter bounces between the falling pieces of rubble towards him, but Shiki is able to kill the lightning again, close the distance, cut off Roa's hand, and then strikes Roa's death dot in mid-air. It is clearly shown then that a piece of rubble fell on Roa's legs, crushing them. Even then, Roa still has the scene where he crawls towards Shiki while dying, voicing his plan to jump the bond of vital force that Shiki and SHIKI share to preserve the chain of his existence, only for Ciel to swoop in and finish Roa off (in the manga, she uses the Seventh Holy Scripture). A lot of the scene in TsukiRe here is basically copypasta'd directly from the original visual novel, which the manga absolutely and enormously improved on given the fights with Roa always seemed incomplete on account of his magecraft not being portrayed in the story. Ciel's route is overall improved in the remake in various ways, but Arc's route here is kind of a disappointment. And hell, we know Nasu was trying to measure himself against Sasaki Shounen's manga adaptation, and if we're looking at it that way, then he very clearly failed here. Granted, Nasu has said all sorts of total horseshit in interviews surrounding TsukiRe.
Kageryushin Dude, relax, I know. I literally read the manga yesterday. I know Roa used his magecraft in the manga. I was just talking about the “shiki cuts his legs off along with the floor from range” part. It ain’t spelled out, but it happens in the manga, kinda

God, that line is so damn good

" I'll show you what it truly means to kill" So freaking coool! What's the name pf the ost?
The OST is called 'From the Boundary.'
@@siebold6095 that sounds like something from BlazBlue
Me who doesn't understand the language, but still can understand what they're saying : 😶
Wait did Shiki get massive boost?
the only new thing is that he also killed roas leg from a distance. the building was destroyed in the original too.

He concentrated to see the lines of death more precisely and more in numbers. Drawback is he'll get exhausted much faster, overheat and fry his brain.
Wait I thought Roa's hair was supposed to be white 🤔
you are mistaking him for either Vlov or certain other spoiler character of far side
@@MokoES Actually I read the manga before the VN. In the manga, the way Roa's character was drawn seemed like he had an ash blond hair.

That’s his original body. He was a blond priest.

Not as cool as the manga. Come on, Nasu. V:

kenbox ken ain’t that also in the manga? When Roa is crawling towards Shiki, he’s missing his legs
