The plant is not nice. It just woodenly stands there. There is no flow no creativity no form. It's just blah looking. All it does is take up space. It doesn't do a thing for the room.

Hi! Art therapy student here, the whole idea with art🎨 is to trust the process and enjoy the process of creating. Once you start you won’t want to stop creating! Try experimenting with different mediums, ways to apply paint other than brushes, and material to paint on. I think your painting came out great!! Have fun creating! 😁

Lol you have to admit she finds a way to return just about everything. It’s a gift really :) I think for such a long time before buying because I dislike returning items that much. Plus the stores usually lose money on the transaction which makes us all pay more.

@@mircat28 I guess I was joking. I spend copious amounts of time deciding and must love an item before bringing into my home. Some people are able to just jump into purchases and return without guilt. I didn’t mean anything negative by it.
As a paranoid “I’m going to miss my flight” flyer, I get butterflies when you say, oh I have to leave in 3 mins .... and you’re still filming...AND you haven’t ordered a car yet! Great artwork. Needs to be higher on the wall.
Artwork is hung 150cm from the floor to the middle of the painting

@@cindland art is never centered to the wall. It's hung to eye level, golden rule is 57 inches from the ground, roughly 145 cm. She did it correctly.
@@ceer9141 might be “correct” but it is not aesthetically pleasing. It’s being “drawn down” by the proximity to the headboard-cashing a visual dead space above. And for taller people, “eye height” is not the same. 🙃. The artwork itself is superb!

Stella, FA here, also plant parent. A real Bird of Paradise would do good there. Seems like it’ll get plenty of light and they grow beautifully. Watering care it’s every two weeks and once in the winter months.

Stella, you're an artist! Isn't there something so satisfying about creating art. I think it looks great. If you wanted a hint of color, you could dry brush a bit of darker gray on the raised areas, but I really like the pale color with the gloss in specific areas. Good job.

You should be very proud of your work, Stella! It looks phenomenal.
When I took an oil painting class (we could also do acrylic if we wanted), the instructor had us use 1 inch lattice board strips (not the panels) to nail around the edge and that would be in place of a frame. We could paint it if we wanted. Home Depot, Ace Hardware or Lowe's sells it and I bet they would nail it for you. Very minimalistic but we used it so as not to detract from the artwork.

The texture from the spackle will definitely not crumble off. I literally just used the same product for the first time last weekend, on the living room walls of my new house. Trust me, you have to sand it off with enthusiasm to make it smooth LOL. Really great product for the wall painting process though - I love how you know it's dry by the way it changes from pink to white.

DCA is my home airport! I live in Alexandria, VA a few miles away. Nice to see flights going out again. Hopefully more people will start flying soon. I look forward to flying again and maybe saying hi!

DYI - Do Yourself It
I've honestly never seen an appeal for fake plants until a couple of years ago. My mom started working at an assisted living and they had a lot of nice plants there. Also, there was a lady there who would make the most pretty silk flower arrangements. It's honestly kind of better than getting flowers that won't last too long.

Fake plants are just dust catchers. Pretty, but why don’t you try a real plant in that corner? Seems like lots of light, which is nice. Get a self-watering pot, and you’ll be set. Love your joy and your channel!

The art piece you created is really awesome. As you were creating I was saying it needed color but then once I saw it finished I really really like how it is clean and simple look but the textures from the spackle give it complex look

Pro tip: Bend the leaves and stems just a little so it looks a little more natural. 2nd pro tip: add some moss to the base to give it a more finished look.

Well, the diy project was a good laugh lol It turned out really well, though!
you need a pastel color added to the painting. it will be "brilliant" with a touch of something. It is washed out with the wall and does not present a focal point, which it would be good as.
I was thinking it need something but not sure what color yet.

Funny story, I was going on a business trip and I drove to DCA ready for my flight, showed the tsa worker my boarding pass to go through security and she said "we don't have gates above 45" i was at the wrong airport, I was supposed to be at Dulles. So now I see they are putting gates above 45 now. I did make it over to Dulles for my flight, but I was so extremely early. 😂 Thank goodness, I check my airport now, to make sure I'm at the right one. Lol
