In basic versions Change of Direction is without rise/lowering, but Drag Hesitation is with rise when we close feet without weight and lowering at end of 3. In our situation we use lowering in 1st step and then we stay down - so it's closer to Change of Direction idea.
Awesome. - I note that at 5 ;56 the lady moves her head different ways as she executes the outside spin. At 6 ;00, she keeps it on the left all the time. What would make the difference in choosing which way? Is one way better than the other generally?
If Man overturns Lady to “PP” or if he dances sway to left - it may cause Lady’s Head Turn to Right on second step. I prefer Outside Spin version when Lady keeps her head all the time to left, because it gives me good feeling of opposition in this rotary figure.
Really good demonstration, thanks again!
Egils for President! 😀
GOOD WORK TEACHER
Very interesting routine
Thank you 👍😍
The routine seemed complicated but after a few attempts and then trying it the next day I can do it.
Congrats! It's encouraging to know that.
What is the name of the figure the couple dances at 3:44 instead of the outside spin?
Natural Spin to PP
Hey Egils, what exactly is the difference between figures Drag Hesitation and Change of Direction in Waltz? Thank you! Greetings from Germany.
