+roidroid Actually it can, that's the first thing I tried. That doesn't mean its 1080 image is as sharp as a GoPro image, I also compared those and the Gopro (Hero 2) has a sharper image all around. This camera has poor optical qualtities, out of focus in long range, also the center of the image is shaper than the edges. The jello effect is bad but that's due to mounting it on a scooter , my Gopro does the same in these conditions. But my impression is that it actually records 1080p , only 15 fps and with poor optical qualities. The 720p mode is definitely worse.
I'm not sure this camera's output quality can warrant using 1080p. Can you notice any quality difference if you use 720p?
