there are so many places in Mexico to choose from but my wife and I are confident that Morelia is most likely the place that we will end up. we've been looking for houses not only for you guys but also because we are looking to purchase something ourself in the future. right now we are going to take a look at a three bedroom, three and a half bathroom home in a very popular, up-and-coming area in Morelia called Altozano. this home is located within a gated community and you're getting a lot of bang for your buck in this growing real estate market.
Beautiful home. I do wonder about the neighborhood, what makes it so desirable? Is it walkable? Parks? Are you guys looking for a particular neighborhood, or is it mostly about the home for you?
Hey those are all great questions! "Walkable" is always relative. But personally I'd probably lean more on driving over here. This area has actually become very popular for Americans coming to Morelia. It's a gated community, has tons of shopping and a golf course in the area (just a couple of reasons why it's so popular). We're not necessarily looking for a specific neighborhood, it's mostly about the home. Personally I (Joe) like most of the areas that are in Morelia so I'm not tired to one specific place.
Nice home! Can you inquire of your real estate friend why the majority of stairs in Mexico have no handrails? I find that kind of odd, lol.
Ha ha, I will ask and let you know! I have a feeling it's just going to be "costumbre" as an answer though! 😆
Nice.
Thanks! I’m glad that you appreciated this content! 😃
My family is originally from Morelia, i always visit the area when i go to visit them and this is a dream home for me to just live there
@@rickyeligio1674 Morelia is wonderful! 🥳
Hey how can contact you and the realtor lol
Hey Joe! My wife and I are likely going to be going to Morelia soon. Did you find a realtor you'd recommend there? Thank you!
Hey my friend! Yes, I have someone who is very trustworthy.

She speaks perfect English too.
When you text her make sure to let her know that we sent you so that she knows you guys are legit. Let me know how it goes! By the way, are you looking to rent or buy?
@chasingtheAmericanDream we are somewhat undecided what to do at first but will be exploring to buy and see how we feel with what we find.
@@shanebappe5273 okay sounds good. Yeah I think that she is extremely experienced and will be able to help you find whatever it is that you need. She's a very good person and is very trustworthy. I will let her know to be on the lookout for your text. By the way, using WhatsApp is the way to go for sure.
@@chasingtheAmericanDream perfect, thank you so much!
@@shanebappe5273 my privilege
Can you get Starlink or good fast internet in Mexico yet?
Hey my friend! I Do not know about starlink specifically but I can tell you that many places have extremely fast internet including my place in Morelia right now.
Was that supposed to be a joke?
@@roninwarrior216 I think it was probably asked seriously simply because certain places in Mexico have some really bad internet. In total though the country is getting a lot better when it comes to internet reliability and I just don't think that people know how quickly they are fixing the issues.
Yes, you can get Starlink. I have TotalPlay and it is much faster than Comcast in the US. I have a place in Mexico/US and the internet is very good in Mexico.
Would feel like prison in no time.
Too small of a home or the gated community thing? I could definitely imagine that certain people who need more space could find this place small.
@@chasingtheAmericanDream My apologies. I just got this strong claustrophobic feeling from the place. To me it seems so closed in, shared walls, deep rooms, lacking windows and dark. It looks like every place there is the same and it's gated. I couldn't do it.
@@standingmannequin7911 No worries and no need to be sorry! Your feedback is very valuable to everyone. I could absolutely understand why some people would feel this way. If I lived here I would personally be occupying the roof and the backyard and definitely be upgrading the lighting for sure to allow for a more open feel.👌👌
@@standingmannequin7911 Then check the houses in Campo de Gold in Altozano - No shared walls, plenty of space, windows and light. However, you will pay more for those houses.
