I'm sorry to say that I feel sad and disappointed for Farouk that he has to go, and I can't help feeling that Bella has taken his place. I sincerely hope he is fortunate to find another home as good as he has had with you. Circumstances change, I appreciate that, but I can't help feeling sorry for Farouk. 😢

She doesn't have the time or energy to ride all 3 horses. A high energy horse needs a high energy person. It would be neglect if she kept him. She's getting older and horse riding takes a large toll on your body, she can't ride all day. Farouk deserves an owner with the time, strength, compassion, love, and energy for him. It's sad, but it's best for him. I had to rehome my first dog because he was such high energy. He was home alone when I was at school and my father was at work, he was always sad and started to destroy our house. We ended up using a doggie door so he could go inside and outside but sadly.. He started to dig under the fence. He escaped 7 times so we had to pour concrete under the fence. He still found a way to escape. We decided to find him a new home so he could live the life he deserved. His name was Youko and he was a Schipperke. We rehomed him to two old ladies that found him and brought him back to us. They had 2 Schipperkees and they lived in a large house with land. I'm sure he lived a good life (this was about 14 years ago). All animals deserve the best life possible. If their owner can't provide that, then they need to rehome their pet.

Hi Melody 🙂 👋 Thanks for your comment, and sorry I didn't see it at the time. Only saw it now, because of the latest comment here. At the beginning of me watching this Channel, Apollo started off as my favourite horse. But as I got to watch, Faroukie's training and ageing, he became my favourite horse. He has been so mature, and settled these last couple of year's. And much more confident, because of his training and him trusting his only rider, Tara. I hope Farouk, isn't fretting too much. He would likely be unsettled, because his familiarity of being with Apollo (Especially so) / Bella, and Tara / Rens / and even Gary, are not in his life anymore. He isn't my horse. But over time I grew to respect, admire, care about him, and love him, I guess. I am really sad, to see him go. But I am also grateful, for having his company for several year's. I don't think, we are ever going to see him again. As the new owner, wants to be anonymous. I was hoping that whomever the new owner was, that they may consider starting a Faroukie Channel. As I would have followed his Channel, as well.

I have to admit that it feels to me like Bella has replaced Farouk.😢
It was more than good for Bella to come to you and I am happy to follow her progress. But I'm also so sorry for Farouk.
He is sensitive and certainly needs a nice person he can trust. I hope you will find that person for him.
It was clear that three horses would become too many some day None of us are getting younger.😔 Farouk probably has the most need of exercise of the three and I can understand the decision. I really hope that Farouk finds his second heartfelt person ❤

Your viewers will certainly miss him but hope we get updates on his next adventure in life. As for me who’s watched for several years I will remember all those special times such as when he flew off down the road, over came that noisy bridge to walk over, showing another horse how to go through the water bravely. His enjoyment for life, riding out, speed and endurance and heart attack hill and heart attack mountain. Not to forget all his awards for endurance. He holds a special place in all our hearts ❤❤❤🐎🐎🐎

In case you're wondering, I'm British from Derbyshire. Unfortunately I live alone, have to work and need to re-fence and repair my stable, which will take time 😟. Dear Farouk is used to everything being perfect. It breaks my heart the thought of not seeing him and he's not even mine 😢. I can't imagine how difficult this decision was for you. He has grown into a gorgeous well mannered lad….❤️❤️ you have done well with him. ❤️ things change, they always do, and we hate to do it, but sometimes it’s necessary. A couple were too close to foaling, so they will be going on in the next few months. I do not know where they came to in Canada, but we saw photos of the location and its very beautiful but there was snow on the ground. I live in Ontario, Canada and have been asking if anyone knows which Stable they have gone to. I’m relatively new to your channel and I’ve enjoyed watching you and Farouk on your many adventures. I know that this must have been an agonising decision for you, but, having 3 horses myself, being of the same vintage as yourself and having a long suffering but wonderful other half I can so understand why you have come to this decision. I’m sure you will find Farouk a loving new home as I know by the way you look after your horses that he won’t be going to just anyone. Best wishes

Just read all the comments and realise that I'm not the only lady of "a certain age" in tears 😢😢😢. What a difficult decision Tara, but as we get older we have to embrace change (easier said than done 😂). I truly hope you will find a new owner who will care for him as well as you do. I am sure there will be someone out there just waiting to give him a loving new home. ❤

I am so sorry that you have to give him up, but I truly understand! My husband is 92 and in poor and declining health,so the farm work as well as 24/7 nursing falls to me. We have 50 acres to keep up and I am a pretty fair ranch hand, but it can get trying! I pray that you find the perfect loving knowledge home for your dear boy. Will hold you up in prayer and caring thoughts!😢❤❤😊😊

Tara, I know this isn’t a decision you’ve taken lightly, and my heart hurts for you Rens and Farouk… however… Farouk has potential to be a world class endurance horse with the right rider that can dedicate the time to put into his training, and a superb Crewing Team… which it’s currently unfair on Rens to be hanging around hours on his own at crew points , lugging water long distances etc… it’s a big ask.
I am trying from my end to put in touch with top competitive riders, and pray that he stays in the uk, and excels in Endurance.
He has had the most amazing upbringing and his new BFF will be very lucky indeed.
Sending huge hugs to you and Rens .xx

      In northern California

Farouk getting a new home makes me said too. I know you Tara have been working really hard keeping all the horses happy, and you have looked kind of run down with the effort. I worry about you. The one thing I can feel good about is that you and Rens will find the best home for him. Farouk is a great horse, well trained and in great condition. He will make someone very happy. I would take Farouk in a heartbeat, but I have two horses already and I live abroad. Both are Arabians, one is Farouk's cousin (they share the same grandsire). She is a bay mare and looks just like Farouk, we love her dearly and she is so loyal and takes care of me in the saddle. You can't go wrong with Marwan al Shaqab's bloodline - He passes on his intelligence, beauty and temperament to his babies and grandbabies. Someone is going to be very lucky to have a horse like Farouk!

I know you will have been working on this idea for many months. The hardest thing to do is decide which horses you want to keep, which would continue to thrive in a new home, your own health and age, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if someone in the endurance circle would take him. The very best of wishes to you and Rens. I am happy to hear Apollo will be getting more work. It broke my heart seeing him wandering the field and the padfock at home. I dont honestly know how you have managed with 3 and was surprised when you got Bella. This winter has been particularly difficult for us horse owners very wet and prices for everything increasing. Not only this but Farouk is a sharp ride and as we get older we are less reactive ourselves. It only takes one injury to then struggle to even take care of basic needs so I think this is a fair decision all around. Arabs need one on one understanding owners and i am sure he will have the best vetted home. ❤
