I don't particularly fancy the small cases but I appreciate you giving us an overview of all form factors and I always enjoy your comprehensive step by step builds and testing, thank you!
That is some of the most detailed testing I’ve seen, answered all questions including air cooler support, best orientation et cetera. Liked and subscribed!
I’m about to finish my first pc. I’m just trying to get a GPU. And watch your videos is really helpful because I was kind of nervous but I feel confident now after watching your videos. The way you explain everything, every detail is awesome my man. Thank so much
For air cooling, I still think the older Fractal Core 500 is the better case, minus the 3slots GPU compatibility. Core 500's PSU placement is superior in my opinion, as it doesn't block the airflow if you have a CPU tower cooler, and doesn't force you to choose between bad placement and bad placement #2 if you have a hot GPU or aio.
Christopher this is an absolutely brilliant video! As someone who is looking to buy a Sugo 15 this answered all of my questions about the best configuration for thermals. One question if you don't mind, do you think an RTX 3080Ti Founders Edition would fit? The reason I ask is that the Founders Edition cards have an unusual power cable that essentially increases the width of card. Can you see any problems fitting it in the Sugo 15?
Amazing Video, I have a question in regards to the NR200p comparison table against the sugo 15, if you used Noctua in the top rather than the sickle flow would noise be reduced further?
Uh... the panels are allegedly aluminium, hence the extra price, AND have magnetically attached filters? I'm so confused. By the by if it's powder coated anyway, what's under the powder coating is of absolutely zero interest, but since aluminium should not be magnetic, it's a disadvantage to be made of that. I've been giving the NZXT H1 hell well before the PCI-E riser cable issues came to light, and this case feels even worse, it's just offloading too much of the heat to the PSU. I think it was undeserving of a review this thorough.
The panels have magnetic tapes inside to hold the magnetic dust filters, it looks a bit cheap for such a pricy and "premium" case though. I'm not sure why they went for aluminum side panels over steel to be honest. It jacks up the price for no reason, they scratch easily, aren't magnetic, and don't block noise as well as steel. PSU intake should always face the opposite side of your mid/top-tier GPU or you're gonna wear the PSU down quickly. 120mm fan above in the bracket should take care of GPU exhaust.
@@chrisco6112 The PSU orientation is bad either way, if you aren't facing it toward the GPU, the CPU AIO will blow its hot air on it, which is arguably even worse. And if you use an air cooler instead, we've all seen what kind of temperatures that will result in. All in all it's a pretty bad case, this layout definitely doesn't do favors for the longevity of your components, especially your PSU.
@@dominic.h.3363 I agree with you, I liked the PSU placement in the Core Fractal 500 much better (that's my current case), too bad it doesn't have 3 slots GPU compatibility.
@@chrisco6112 I'm currently using a micro-ATX case for my ITX board, because I wanted to have my GPU stand below my CPU cooler, for show. The only ITX form factor case I could've bought that allows for the same orientation is the Lian-Li PC-05S series, but comes with severe limitations on the GPU length, is a 6 year old case, and 6 times more expensive than this Sugo 15. Before that I started building my own case, but DIY component/material availability is severely restricted because of the pandemic, so it's on hold...
That explains the tape design they used on the panels. The noise was the big suprise for me. Just swapped a 3060ti in for the 2070 super and it is even quieter at idle. I'm planning on using the case as for me it has more advantages than disadvantages.
I have SilveStone Sugo 14 and I regret that I chose SilveStone Sugo 14 over Fractal Design for building my NAS Server. It does not fit standard power supply unit and parts are not that smooth and useful!

No problem. I prefer a larger case myself but where space is limited you may not have the choice

Was waiting for this. Good job mate!
Thanks

Yes, it would be interesting to measure the psu temps

Amazingly insightful testing. Thank you for your work!
Thank you for another thorough review.
30.2 liter TJ08-E with 180MM AP intake.
Nearly twice the size of this case.
I really like mine.
No problem
Excellent review, thank you.

Temps got lots worse when I did. Check out the nr200p review video for all the configurations
