Mask, social distance, stay at home
For many of us the December holiday is already a fading memory as we get straight back to work. For some that means working from home - trading a T-shirt for a collared shirt to resume ZOOMing (in your shorts!) But for others remote work isn’t an option and that means back to daily commuting with an increased possibility of infection through interaction with others at your place of work or on public transport.
So how can South Africans best protect themselves as they kick off the 2021 work year? It may help to think of going back to work, like going back to school and relearning your ABC’s
A - Always wear a mask - and wear it properly (covering your nose, your mouth and your chin)
B - Back off … keep your distance and avoid crowds and crowded places
C - Clean your hands regularly
D - duvet day … stay at home if you can, and especially if you’re sick.
This past festive season showed us that complacency is the enemy. We cannot let our
guard down at work as we did on holiday. So for your sake, for the sake of your family, your community and the health and safety of all your South Africans - pls wear a mask properly, social distance and if you can … stay at home.
