Let’s put this into context. I brought one of these drones for £28. For that £28 I have a drone for my son that has a camera, 22 mins flight time and is easy to fly. For the money I think it is unbelievable. Everybody criticising needs to remember that this isn’t a £1000 drone and isn’t for professional photography etc. I think it is an absolute steal.

I agree Pete this one has great optical flow and flight time, mine was under a different brand name. I had issue where the front lens actually unthreaded itself and popped out in my flight review so I could not use all the features of the app. Good little fpv flyer though.
@@RCEscape mine flew OK , I had issues with the app and obviously the camera, the flight range ain't that far either.. I got Maybe about 70m out of the F196, mine was not the sg900
Haha. That's funny mate. I've just uploaded a video of this drone complaining about it falling from the sky. Turns out that one of the motors was faulty. Mine as also had a mind of its own!!! 📣🎧😉😆🍻👍🕭
I recently came across a new drone sg700-D, it's an upgrade version of the previous sg700. It would be the best if you can make a review about this drone..
Lost mine three Weeks ago couldn't control it back no mater how i tried, it was my first drone ,any way the the price is good and i have already got another one as am still learning to fly.

If your new. I highly recommend the mjx x600, for toy grade , dji, tello( my favorite) or the syma x8c. Hobby grade beginner, my favorits are the mjx bugs brushlesses and i currently fly the fly the 3dr solo. My fsvorite. The dji phantoms are cool but 3dr is an all around solid drone. Oh and the traxxas aton, my second favorite

With the control issues on this one it may as well have NFC connectivity 🤣😂🤣 ... Joking aside, it definitely needs some tweaks at the development stage. Thanks for an in depth review of this, just a shame it has those issues. I thought you were gonna have a fly away in the video. Thumbs up Pete 👍👍👍 PS: Just as an after thought, have you tested it's control characteristics without starting the wifi app in the first place ? I was just wondering if the quad was still trying to search for a wifi signal after you shut off the phone wifi, and if so, would powering the quad off and back on help this ?
I wanted to like this drone. Long flight time n optical flow. Flips are over rated unless a manual flip can be done. Maybe future changes will make it better.
I have the sg 700 and it is a pain to fly. optical flow is iffy sometimes it hovers great other times it wanders. and teh video is absolute crap. I mean I had low expectations but it leaves pixelated trails and is choppy. I highly recommend the xs809hw instead.

@@RCEscape it is possible I guess, we all get those from time to time. I made 3 videos on the F196 and it did fly fine, in all 3 videos

What is the app for that drone?
A bit late ... about latency ... it is for sure your phone, in its version "S "the latency is around 60-90 ms so beating that of a Mavic mini.
Is the internal antenna on the drone and the controller replacable?
I haven't looked into it but I am sure they are replaceable.

My SG700 flew very well but had some crappy video due to the 0.3mp camera...they should really get rid of 0.3mp cameras altogether.
