As brave warriors march to either death or glory, the sky shall unfold for them and accept those who are slain fighting for their cause. As the battle bore on, men and women lay down their lives, struck down by either blade or arrow. This battle was not the first nor shall it be the last. On another very much like this one, the sky shall unfold again and more soldiers will die. But for what? What reason is there for people so brave to die? Swords sang, shields thumbed, arrows whistled through the air and found their marks with soft thunks that were drowned out beneath battle cries and the screams of wounded. On the third day, the sky unfolded and many were never seen again. Swords were dull, shields were broken, and there were no more arrows. The remaining soldiers were few, but the continued to fight with dull swords, blocking with fragments of broken shields, and firing scavenged arrows with missing heads or warped shafts. The fought hard and more were lost. By the end, the sky was unfolded and the souls of the fallen rose to the heavens.

On this day, swords shall clash, arrows shall fly, shields will break, and the sky shall unfold.
As brave warriors march to either death or glory, the sky shall unfold for them and accept those who are slain fighting for their cause.
As the battle bore on, men and women lay down their lives, struck down by either blade or arrow.
This battle was not the first nor shall it be the last. On another very much like this one, the sky shall unfold again and more soldiers will die. But for what? What reason is there for people so brave to die?
Swords sang, shields thumbed, arrows whistled through the air and found their marks with soft thunks that were drowned out beneath battle cries and the screams of wounded.
On the third day, the sky unfolded and many were never seen again. Swords were dull, shields were broken, and there were no more arrows. The remaining soldiers were few, but the continued to fight with dull swords, blocking with fragments of broken shields, and firing scavenged arrows with missing heads or warped shafts. The fought hard and more were lost. By the end, the sky was unfolded and the souls of the fallen rose to the heavens.

I like listening to these when I'm working on long projects for school, but what is with all the aspiring poets I see whenever I click on these. Like I scroll down once and I've already found someone writing a poem and I'm like "Here we go again".

the world around her starts to spin and just as everything is about to turn to dark, the cheering of the last of her men can be heard.
the battle is won.
a soldier comes running to her but its to late. with a smile on her face darkness takes over.
