Must admit, this was really cool despite the slightly messed up charting. Only thing I feel it's missing is that health drain for DD fighting bad. Aside from that, awesome.
Honestly, this ain't too bad I like the DD and BF sprites One of the better ones I've seen that doesn't use reimagined sprites (except for corrupt resurgence bf) but I can tell even without hearing the song that the chart is off I liked the illusion part, and how you can see dd's smile fade as bf gets all cocky It's not that bad overall Maybe take your time to fix the chart a bit though
I would say it's to deceive DD so that he's easily caught off guard and there by easier to corrupt. (The real reason is I just didn't think of it when I was making the sprite)

Well, Resurgence Boyfriend himself is just Corrupted Boyfriend from The Resurgence Timeline. But, the explanation for his powers, is basically just Savestate gone wrong. Corrupted Pico shots at the game console as Spirit tries to leave, which destroys him and makes him into liquid. That liquid seeps into Boyfriend's body, and Corrupted Boyfriend takes control. This gives him the same buff Spirit got in Savestate.
