For Natsuki vs Raven, Idk if this was intended or not, but Natsuki's surface-level disses fit the character pretty well. Even tho I prefer rap battles with more layered lyrics, I like that her simplistic writing style were translated from the game

Also, the final line in Wes vs Wright is about how two of the leading actors in Baby Driver were accused of sexual misconduct with minors involved (Kevin Spacey and Ansel Elgort, who plays the protagonist)
Boris Johnson Vs The Penguin also just feels really fucking cathartic given how much of a goddamned nightmare it was, at times, to live under his leadership. A cartoon character of a man. Also, Boris Johnson just had a habit of bringing up Peppa Pig or other kids shows at the most inappropriate moments? He brought up going to Peppa pig world at a climate conference? Felt fitting that 1. Johnson brought her up and 2. The longer penguin nose being another potential way he's insulting his appearance. The thing I really love about this battle though (beside how cathartic it is to listen to) is how many references it's made to Johnson's ridiculous antics? "Hide inside a fridge"- Johnson reportedly did hide inside a fridge to get away from an interviewer, I think it was? "Read those lines off a bus"- referring to the infamous Brexit bus he sent around London to try and con people into voting. "Hung up on a line" referring to when around the 2012 Olympics he got stuck on the zipline during some kind of publicity thing. Also not what Johnson did, but "closer to the pigs than David Cameron is" alluding to how close he's been with the chief of the police Vs Cameron who literally put his genitals in the mouth of a dead pig. Chefs kiss. The writing in this battle is truly beautiful.

I am not super knowledgeable on Danganronpa and don’t ever watch Dream. So while I love the performances and like the beat and visuals, it didn’t stick with me that much.
I respect your pinion and all, but. No. Not even a mention to Harry vs Mysterio or Dream vs Nagito. Last year sucked for Freshy, in my opinion that doesn't have to be agreed with, but some of your opinions are fair, considering my opinion that there's four or five good battles from him last year. But hey, at least we can dunk on Syndrome vs Billy Butcher in unison, because that battle would be able to put crying babies to sleep in seconds. Well, that or make them cry more due to sheer cringe.
Literally everybody on Earth is qualified to rank rap battles, it's all subjective. I also think knowing the character is not vital in a review of a battle because many people watching the battle won't know the characters and if the battle doesn't appeal to those viewers, it isn't accessible and is therefore harder to enjoy in every other regard.
