  • In this video, I discuss the importance of staying ahead in a competitive world. If you're not cautious and proactive, the competition could not only impact your income but potentially destroy all future opportunities. Using the example of shops and restaurants near my home, I explain how businesses that once thrived in prime locations are now struggling or closing down due to a flood of new competitors. In the past 5-10 years, a wave of similar businesses has moved into these areas, causing substantial losses for the original establishments. Even worse, the businesses that replaced them are now facing their own challenges as the third wave of competition enters the scene.
This constant cycle of competition shows that success isn't guaranteed, and businesses must adapt to survive. But it’s not just about businesses. This applies to employees, workers, and anyone in a comfortable job. Many people think their stable position is secure, but the reality is, competition and change can affect anyone. If you're not continuously learning, upgrading your skills, and evolving, you could find yourself left behind.
The future will bring even more challenges, and only those who stay ahead of the curve will thrive. In this video, I share my insights on how important it is to keep evolving and preparing for change. Watch the video, and don't forget to share your thoughts in the comments below.

Your "evolve or die" is spot on not only for jobs. It applies to relationships and to simply getting older. You have to behave very differently in each decade of your own life.

Hi Loy ! Very true words at the end of your video: "evolve or die" That statement is not only applicable for employees, same is applicable to businesses/biz owners/corporations.
Cheers'n have a great day, mate

True. Comfort zone is a dangerous place to be. For businesses, very. Anyone with an idea, entrepreneurial bent, appetite for risk, and some money can walk in one fine day and jolt you out of your lazy slumber.

The same thing happened in Ireland 20 years ago big shops started building all over the country and the family owned business had to close down

Yes. This is a common phenomena & the franchise model may face competition from their own company. I faced it in my organisation. Don't stay long in any workforce. It's totally true, things have changed post COVID. People's incomes haven't increased as much as they wish, but the cost of living has gone up a few notches. Many facts are discussed in this video, and most of them are very valid. Personal branding and value needs to be evaluated all the time. Returns on personal finances and efficacy must be quantitatively analysed all the time.

The first MR.DIY store opened in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2005. I have seen DIY stores in the states also but not sure they belong to the same chain.

We have just started using AI at work and it's so efficient that we won't need the amount of current staff

Unemployment is all over the globe today. There is no business no buyers or takers. The party is over. All the bull run. Now it's going to be bearish times for a long time. People those had saved up cash are going to be in advantage but to the rest are going to go through the roughest period in their life.
