Very good list Luke! I think the most creepiest V of Doom logo in my opinion was the Vinegar Syndrome variant of the V of Doom, but seeing that being placed at #3, I'm fine with that.
Number four has a kind of found footage horror feel to it. Like you watch it, and your family finds you dead a short time later with the V burned over your heart or inside your eyelids.
For me, it's the Rankin Bass logo that gets me. We watch those movies every christmas, and every time, I either run out of the room during the credits or take the remote and go back to the main menu. My family makes fun of me for it, but for some reason it just scares me... I figure it's rooted in my childhood or something, because other logos, like this one, as well as Screen Gems, don't much bother me. The tune just sticks in my mind and haunts my dreams... I literally had a dream once that it was just playing over and over and over and i couldnt breathe. It's weird and irrational but goddamn is it unsettling lmao
I find the feeling of the past is a particularly strong one, and logos that appear lifeless, corporate and without character appear haunting and scary to us in our childhoods. And as we get older I think those feelings don't really go away despite us realising they aren't as scary as we thought they were as a child. Thanks for sharing :)
I loved that one.. the tune felt comforting and a reminder to work on a chocolate layer cake for my visiting family.. especially that whimsical whistle note. Its just a Merry Xmas message from the company ok????
This logo never bothered me that much when I saw it as a kid, but it seems a wonder it didn’t, as my mother told me I would always cry whenever the Calgon commercials came on when I was a baby. The loud noises apparently bothered me.
Kind of funny how these for the most part weree damaged from being at the end of most film reels. Mainly from constant rewinding which within time warps the cellophane and rubs unevenly through the pinch rollers, causing the pitch to fluctuate.
❤That's nothing! When I was younger, the Viacom endings reminded me of my late Dad. It sounded rough; I'll give you that. The logo which creeped me out when I was younger was the metallic logo for General Electric on my TV screen. I thought that the metallic G.E. logo was going to beam me into some creepier dimension altogether! I'm over that; now that I'm at a point that the medical technologists summoned by my doctors use G.E. medical equipment to make me feel better....or hypnotized!😵💫
Ah good old budget tape transfers, eh? They can't blame poor treatment of the film negatives for this error, as I'd assume by that point in the 80s the programming you watched was provided by videotaped transfers? A little poor on Viacoms behalf to transfer such poor condition negatives
The one seen on MeTV's current prints of My Three Sons (the season 11 finale). Because CBS Television Distribution cuts in before, the logo begins with a big thump from a drum, which was the end of the M3S theme song. Before the usual jingle comes in.
TBH this V of Doom logo never scared me and I never even knew there were so many variants. The only one I'm really familiar with is the videotaped variant from the 80s. I vaguely remember seeing that one after the Andy Griffith Show as a kid before I took off for school. Though it did stand out to me, it never once scared me. Plus, I love how you mentioned vinegar in the no. 3 pick. Might as well be called Vinegar of Doom. LMFAO 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I loved the V OF DOOM as a kid.. mainly because it reminded me of the LOONEY TUNES "train out of the painted tunnel" gag.. i could not stop laughing when the music came on.. These versions wouldn't scare me.. except for that WARPED AS HELL fanfare one from the ANDY GRIFFITH video.. what the fuck was that????
The v of doom mask jumps out of you and that looks very stupid because of the jumpscare I have laughed at the jumpscare because of the casually face lol
scariest variant is the вид logo when ball falling into ground and get faster faster and faster and get reverse film as to fix it before that it say представляет
Very good list Luke! I think the most creepiest V of Doom logo in my opinion was the Vinegar Syndrome variant of the V of Doom, but seeing that being placed at #3, I'm fine with that.
Me Too! The Most Creepiest V Of Doom Logo Is The Vinegar Syndrome Variant
2:58 Sorry V, You came to close to the Screen and Broke it
That was a glue
the scariest part about #4 to me is the poor vhs condition combined with the film. it’s kinda freaky.

i'm not scared of any logos lolol
(don't mean to be mean lol i said mean two *now three* times)
I loved that one.. the tune felt comforting and a reminder to work on a chocolate layer cake for my visiting family.. especially that whimsical whistle note. Its just a Merry Xmas message from the company ok????
the fanfare scared me too
I love this kind of content.
You're wacky...😛

I remember the Calgon ads.. they never bothered me.. I was 8 when you were a baby..
i want to have a talk with the person who made the warp speed viacom logos
I Agree With Number 5 And 2 Because I Thought That A Jumpscare Will Come Out!!!

Nice job, old friend.
Cheers dude
I Already Took A Screenshot On 2:59 With The Glue Part
All versions were downright scary. One thing’s for sure, I wouldn’t want to see any of those late at night before bed.
I saw #2 as a kid and was scared because It looked like it broke our brand new (in the 80s) zenith tv
Ah good old budget tape transfers, eh? They can't blame poor treatment of the film negatives for this error, as I'd assume by that point in the 80s the programming you watched was provided by videotaped transfers? A little poor on Viacoms behalf to transfer such poor condition negatives
Im Afraid Of All Of Them :(
So you are a kid
What is that fot?
2:49 yes i saw dat easily bc i eat carrots
5. Warp-Speed Videotaped Logo (1:13)
4. Damaged Filmed Variant (1:44)
3. Vinegar Syndrome Variant (2:09)
2. Splice Glue Variant (2:45)
1. Greatest Heroes of the Bible End Variant (3:33)
On #5 you said it being faster makes it worse, on #1 you said it being slower makes it worse, which is it???
both makes it worse
So 5 and 1 make worst
1:52 bruh the actual damage is the vhs so it’s the vhs

They should have kept the print as it was instead of fucking plastering CBS TV in the middle.. screw that logo..
You were not joking!
1:13 was this used for P-Head Shorts?
THE V OF DOOM ONCE TRIED TO DESTROY A FRAME? Luckily, someone fixed it!
😎 💯 👍🏻 ❤️ 🙏 🧼 That was great! I’d put your #2 as my #1. It’s unsettling to me now, so I’d have gone nuts as a kid. Thanks for putting this together!
number 4 is unsettling (the most)
All 5 of these V Of Doom variants still makes me yawn bricks.
Why Called The V Of Doom
This is one of the main reasons why the videotaped version is superior for me.
TBH this V of Doom logo never scared me and I never even knew there were so many variants. The only one I'm really familiar with is the videotaped variant from the 80s. i was scared at footage number 3, the “vinegar syndrome” variant of v of doom
My stars Viacom V Of Doom is vicious and scary
r.i.p. viacom
#4 looks 3d, like most damaged film 2d logos
I loved the V OF DOOM as a kid.. mainly because it reminded me of the LOONEY TUNES "train out of the painted tunnel" gag.. i could not stop laughing when the music came on.. These versions wouldn't scare me.. except for that WARPED AS HELL fanfare one from the ANDY GRIFFITH video.. what the fuck was that????

i want to make my own version of this logo, but i will replace the v using a picture of white cat
The v of doom mask jumps out of you and that looks very stupid because of the jumpscare I have laughed at the jumpscare because of the casually face lol
Because the jumpscare itself looks stupid ngl lol
@@vincentchai7956 yeah when i was a little kid i laughed too but now it's just scary anymore
"Guys the v of doom isn’t that scary"
#2:well guys,take a look at my logo!
warp speed variant = 3 scs
normal = 7 scs
on #1 = 11 scs
That is my name two
scariest variant is the вид logo when ball falling into ground and get faster faster and faster and get reverse film as to fix it
before that it say представляет
None of them were scary. But, if I had to pick one it would be #2. I don't think it's scary, though.
i think was the v will come out of screen!!!
BИD of doom
Noice
I think #1 is actually the least scary one because the V actually stops before it cuts to black and the sound is funny
hi
All of them is not scary
37
I hate the bad words like sh-i am not saying it
#3 looks like “V in hell”
nakakatawa yung mga sinasabi mo!
