- This video is about tidying up the garden by sanding down the old concrete fence posts with a concrete sanding disc. Half way through I swapped to my 240v grinder as the batteries piled in. 15 posts in total. I did the face of all of them and the side of 10 of them with 2 discs!

Nice one mate, was looking at painting over mine with Sandtex but will give this a go, cheers
You could also use use a palm sander which is what I used. Did a great job.
How will that work with the texture of the gravel board?
Which type of paint can I use on concrete posts? I want to paint them white. Also if there's any preferable brand/product here in the UK. thanks mate.
Any masonry paint would do.
Masonry paint look for specific with weather protection.
Great job, what about the bases?
It would be more tricky depending on the texture. Other than that, masonry paint would freshen them up
Can we do same for our exterior brick walls
I doubt it. Brick is usually softer so it may damage them. A conventional sander may be best
@@ddrepairs thank you!
Did you use a battery powered Grinder for all of them or a mains?
Bit of both. 2 batteries didn’t last long so switched to cable
@@ddrepairs That would be my worry when trying to do lots of posts. A cordless would be far to handle but I doubt that it would have enough in the tank to last that long.
Thanks
Where did you get the discs from mate?
Billy Groh eBay pal. Just search concrete sanding discs

D & D Repairs thanks mate
D & D Repairs how long do the discs last?
Hard to say. Think I used about 5 discs on about 20 posts. Some of the posts were tougher than others so took some more time. Sorry I can’t be that precise I’m afraid.
Unnecessary work if ask me
No one did
@@ddrepairs Brilliant :)
Lol
