You should have filmed your drive from St. Pete all the way to Naples...to show how absolutely stunning and beautiful Florida is...green grass and trees for hundreds of miles...😃
You guys blew it out of the water with this video ,finally an unbiased video not from a real estate agent, keep up the great work we’ll keep watching Will be visiting next months of videos like this are appreciated
This is bar none, THE best tour video I have ever seen of Florida. In a couple weeks, I am taking my family to visit Naples. We got an air bnb in North Port, but I am definitely willing to drive down south for an hour to visit this city. My wife and kids are absolutely going to love the bird gardens sanctuary. That just might be the highlight of our trip when we go. 😎😌
Thank you so much for this kind and encouraging comment, Jay! We're so happy to hear about your family's upcoming trip to Florida, and we really hope our videos help you to make the most of your time here. We're sure your kids will LOVE the bird sanctuary. Just make sure you sign up if you haven't already.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful video of Naples. You two aced it again! I especially liked the Botanical Gardens, Bird preserve and Nature walk. The price of admission may seem steep but connecting with nature and all its animals is priceless. Thank you again for all you do.
Thank you so much for your continued support! We were so happy when we found so many great nature options when researching Naples. As much as we love beaches and drinks/dining, it's great to switch it up and get out on some trails! We hope we'll have a lot more nature and animals in our channel going forward!
A beach day would be a perfect day for me these days - we still have so much snow. That pecan pie looked delicious, your dinner also looked great and not too expensive! I think I would have enjoyed that bird sanctuary and that bird singing and dancing lol. And the swamp sanctuary is something I've never seen or done before - so that would be on my list for sure!
Oh man shouldn't all that stuff be gone by now?! The bird sanctuary was such a highlight... those birds had so much personality! And of course any time Skylar can get be around gators he's happy 😬
I love the pickle appetizer idea. So unique and those vines are incredible! As always, love your beach and sunset footage. It's so beautiful. It doesn't even seem real.
Yeah, the pickle pub was pretty unique. We absolutely oved all of those vines! I had to talk Skylar out of seeing how many pickles he could eat, although it probably would have been a pretty entertaining segment of the video 😂. And yes, we are certainly spoiled with our sunsets here. They haven't gotten old and probably never will.
Hi, just spent 3 days in Naples and managed to get to Naples pier, Old Naples Pub, Harold's Place and Monkey Bunz. All great! And really good value. Thanks, we would never have found these places.
That's so awesome to hear that our video helped you to make the most of your time in Naples! Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment!
The botanical gardens are awesome! I visited it probably 6 years ago, and the admission wasn't as bad as it is now. $25/person is pretty steep, but it's definitely super cool.
Thank you for your nice video trip. We should visit Naples FL next year (we just come back from Mount Dora area), and we surely use your advice. Sorry for my english. May The Force Be With You !!!

I had to look way back in my photos. I last visited Corkscrew Swamp in 2012. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve been to Tin City in the 80’s and 90’s. The rest of your tour is new to me. Just and hour and a half away we are already making plans to see these sites in April.
Well after 10 years, I'd say you are definitely due for a return trip to Corkscrew! We had never seen anything quite like the Corkscrew Swamp or Tin City. Both were great experiences. We hope you guys have an awesome time when you visit in April!
Thanks so much for watching and for the kind comment! We second guessed ourselves several times before we finally pulled the trigger and moved to Florida. We have not regretted it once!
Thanks for sharing this great video! We are visiting Florida in a week and start in Naples. We have been waiting for you to make a video on Naples, perfect timing ;) Your videos have really helped us planning our vacation. We will also stay in Sarasota and Venice on the west coast :)
Wow what great timing! We're glad our videos have been able to help you in your Florida vacation planning, and we hope you have a wonderful time in Naples!
Loved this video so much! You did a great job! We haven't been back to the Naples/Marco island since before the pandemic. Miss it so much! The price of admission to the botanical gardens is a little steep but maybe worth if you can spend all day there. Looking forward to you Marco Island video already!! ❤
Thanks, Ramune! We can't believe it's taken us almost 10 years of living in Florida to finally explore Naples. We agree on the gardens. If we would have had the entire day there (and could have really enjoyed the musicians) it would have no doubt been worth the cost of admission. We had originally planned on including Marco Island in this video, but when we finished Naples and it was already 31 minutes long, we decided we better just do Marco as its own video!
This is an awesome video, guys. Actually we used your videos to "guide" us on our recent trip to the gulf coast last month, we found them extremely helpful. We were in Naples as well, it would have been really fun to have bumped into you! However we didn't have much time there but after seeing this we need to return! Thanks again, keep the videos coming
Thanks so much, Scott! We're really glad that you've found our videos to be helpful. We always enjoy bumping into our viewers, and perhaps it will happen on one of you next gulf coast vacations!
On our last visit to Marie Selby Gardens in Sarasota we decided to purchase an annual membership for $100 rather than pay the one time $50 entrance fee for two. The membership is good for almost all the botanical gardens in Florida, including Bok Tower in Lake Wales. It is also good at gardens, house tours, and museums all over the USA. We use it extensively in New England and upstate New York during the summer. It is definitely worth it.
Wow that sounds like an amazing deal. Thanks so much for sharing this information. It sounds like we'll most likely be purchasing one of these passes in the future. Thanks so much for taking the time to share!
Great video! It was fun to see somewhere familiar too! We stayed in Naples about 6 years ago and I remember going to the Monkey Bread place! You are a lot braver than I am, that gator was a little too close for my comfort! :)
We could hardly believe it when we discovered there was a business that specialized in monkey bread. We both immediately knew that it was going to be in the video 😆We're glad you enjoyed the video and that it was able to bring back some good memories!
Wow, what a great are to explore! I think Terri would get a kick out of that bird sanctuary as she used to have a cockatoo years ago. I think the Botanical Gardens fee looked like it was worth the price. I'm not so sure about being that close to the gators at the other park though! You've got me bookmarking more places on my google maps page for sure!
Oh yeah we think she would love it. There were so many cockatoos, and they all had so much personality. We agree that the Botanical Gardens was worth it. Especially if you go early and make a day of it. It can keep you entertained for hours.
Believe it or not, we generally eat quite healthy when not filming videos 😂. We walk pretty much everywhere which also helps, and we also go to our local rock climbing gym a few times a week. Thanks for watching!
on 5th ave, there’s some amazing happy hour deals at almost all of the restaurants on the strip, some of them have special menus and some are just 50% off the whole menu.
Last time i was Naples, i had the time of my life in it and i never been to a place so cozy close to beaches. I dont get that type of experience in Europe where i live. Thanks for this guide, i know some good places to visit and i know now about the monkey bread now since last last time i was in Tin City, the section for thr monkey bread was closed. ❤😢
We're glad to hear you had such a great time in Naples, but sorry the monkey bread spot was closed. We really hope that next time you visit you'll be able to give it a try!
Ahhh I really needed this comment today 😂 One of the best we've seen on our channel in a long time! But yeah, Richard would surely be the odds-on favorite!
I loved this tour of Naples! Thank you for sharing your experience. I would live to know what precautions are taken for the gator viewing. Being so close and exposed is very scary for me but I would love to be able to see the rest of the birds and creatures.
We're so glad you enjoyed it! Regarding the gator precautions, the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary has a raised boardwalk trail, providing more safety and separation from any gators when compared to the Bird Rookery Trail. The trail at the Bird Rookery is known to frequently have gators crossing the actual trail.
Agreed! Awesome video! I’ll have to share this with everyone coming to our wedding this winter in Naples ☺️ These are some of my favourite places - although you caught everywhere with little to no crowds! Amazing. I know you live in Florida, but I agree that gator was a little too close for comfort if you weren’t carrying concealed. Fortunately you made it away safely but do be careful ❤️☺️
We've been to Marco many times and will be returning soon. Always loved The Sand Bar bar/restaurant. No one ever mentions it,.....any current feedback? Also, what about Goodland? Thanks You!
We'd heard good things about the Sandbar and it was on our list of potential spots to visit, but we just ran out of time/appetite. Regarding Goodland, we 100% plan on making a trip there someday to do some paddling and check out the live music scene, both of which we hear are great in Goodland.
I just spent $26 to get into Marie Selby Botanical Gardens during their Tiffany exhibit. Beautiful but I enjoyed The Sunken Gardens in St Pete more as far as the varieties.
Thanks for sharing your experience. We have yet to visit the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens but have been wanting to forever! We love the Sunken Gardens in St. Pete. Have you been to the free gardens in Largo yet?
I have a question. Is Naples free from red tide and dead fish now? When I check the beach reports it shows it’s still active but you video shows the beach is clear. I live in Sarasota and our beaches, particularly Lido, has been like a smelly putrid open cemetery of dead fish that they have not cleaned. People are now lounging in the dunes and the smell is traveling almost to the street.
Red tide is no joke and can definitely ruin your day on the beach. We do monitor it quite frequently. We've attached a link to our go-to resource for red tide. We'd suggest scrolling down to the "Beach Conditions Reporting System". coastalscience.noaa.gov/science-areas/stressor-impacts-mitigation/hab-forecasts/gulf-of-mexico/
When we were last in Naples probably around 2018, I think the botanical gardens were neat but if they're $25 now, I am not sure it would be worth it unless you're a botanist or extremely avid gardener or something. But the live music would probably be worth going. They didn't have music when we were there. There are many many plants and types of gardens to walk through. So at least it isn't a total ripoff.
Yeah we agree. If you are only able to spend a couple hours there like we did (and if there is no music), then probably would skip it. But if you have a beautiful day, can spend several hours there, and go when they have the live music, then it's probably worth the $25. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
@@Explorcation I wasn't sure how to suggest this but we're about to be in the St. Petersburg area in 5 days. We have been scrambling to learn about red tide and how to avoid it and/or still enjoy the beaches despite it. Maybe you could address ways to track it (like through Mote), how to deal with it, health effects, etc in a short video? I know we can't be the only travelers who haven't experienced it first hand before and would be walking in blind without seeing any mention of it. I know you might be reluctant to address it but people should know.
@@CMJDT oh I am so sorry we weren't able to get back to you sooner. We really hope you were able to enjoy your time around St. Pete and that red tide didn't affect your trip too much. Thank you for you suggestion. Experiencing red tide this time of year is not common, so it did kind of took us by surprise. With everything we had going on in our lives we weren't able to put together a video to address it but we sure will keep that in mind for the future. If you happen to still be in the area, this is one of the resources we use to track red tide and plan: coastalscience.noaa.gov/science-areas/habs/hab-forecasts/gulf-of-mexico/
We lived in Sarasota for 6 years and really enjoyed it. We've never live din Naples, but definitely could see ourselves living there. If we had to chose though, I think we would go with Sarasota mainly due to it's close proximity to St. Pete and Tampa. Plus we LOVE Siesta Key, Longboat Key, and Anna Maria Island which are very close to Sarasota.
Let's say: Naples is not budget friendly. it's a luxurious city. Better stay, rent a room at Sarasota and go there for a full day. For me, not enough to offer to crack the budget there. You need to be there for the sunset, that's it. ;-) I prefer Sarasota or the nicest St-Petersburg ;-)
Yeah you sure aren't joking about the lodging prices in Naples. We actually stayed clear up in Fort Myers when we visited Goodland and Everglades city, as the price of a hotel there was less than half of Naples. It was worth the extra 40 minutes in the car.
@@randalllevy5307 have you looked into any memberships? We weren't aware that many offer reciprocal benefits. It can be an option to save a bit of money when traveling.
Oh yeah we have to get to Naples! That pickle bar was interesting, the food looked good. BLT is a must do for Dan all the time. It's his go to at sandwich spots. This was a very nice vlog to watch, your editing is always so good. How long does it take you to edit one vlog like this? BTW, Harold's Place looked really good and those menu prices were nice!! 🤑
The pickle pub was definitely one of those weird things we just stumbled upon, but ended up loving! Harold's Place was planned out in advance, and definitely did not disappoint! Thanks for the encouraging comments on the editing. As you probably would expect, our videos take a LONG time to edit. anywhere from 1.5 to 2 hours for one minute of video time on average lately... so this video video probably took Skylar somewhere between 45 and 60 hours to edit. It's definitely a full time job (and then some).

That's terrible news. We were there less than a month ago and there are reviews of the place from just a few days ago. Is the hotel still open? Did you get any info on why it closed?
@@Explorcation Hi, no it was just a note on the entrance Door. They refer to their other restaurant in Fort Mayers area. We ended up at Pinchers in Tin City instead. Great place with 2 for 1 happy hour 😀
@Explorcation Hi, sorry but we discovered that they actually have not closed down. Google maps routed us to the wrong adress where it unfortunately was a restaurant that went out of business. We saw the Harold's sign from the car 😀
Wow we honestly had never even heard of a rhea until now and didn't even realize there were any other birds in the ostrich/emu family. But upon looking up some pictures of them, you are definitely right! Thanks so much fore the information, George!
We could see younger, outdoorsy people enjoying the North Naples area. But from our experience the downtown Naples area definitely did seem to be geared towards an older, wealthier crowd.
The price can really fluctuate based on day of week and time of season. We included a link to the Airbnb in our video description, if you'd like to check the pricing for a specific date. Thanks for watching.

Awesome video! I love your channel! Although it does make me a little jealous sometimes haha. I also loved hearing the reggae during the video
Thanks so much, Adam! We love reggae and always try to slip a reggae song or two into our videos. It is the best beach music, after all!
How do you two stay so slim and trim eating all those amazing looking meals??
Believe it or not, we generally eat quite healthy when not filming videos 😂. We walk pretty much everywhere which also helps, and we also go to our local rock climbing gym a few times a week. Thanks for watching!
on 5th ave, there’s some amazing happy hour deals at almost all of the restaurants on the strip, some of them have special menus and some are just 50% off the whole menu.
Thank you for sharing, we love a good happy hour!
How dare you, those 4 legged birds are doing their best lol
Lol yes they are
Last time i was Naples, i had the time of my life in it and i never been to a place so cozy close to beaches.
Richard could win Rupaul's drag race with these dance moves and glam looks
Ahhh I really needed this comment today 😂 One of the best we've seen on our channel in a long time! But yeah, Richard would surely be the odds-on favorite!
Skyler enjoys life.
He sure does, Todd! 😂
Loved Seed to Table. We would never have known about it if we had not watched this video. We enjoy your videos.
That place is unreal. We're so happy that our video helped you to discover it, Barbara!
the pub is a nice place.
We agree, thanks so much for watching!
Google says The Old Naples Pub is permanently closed.
Hey at 27:10 minutes. Where exactly is this or what is the name of this location ?
Thank you very much ❤
Crew Bird Rookery Swamp Trails in Naples.
Pete. Have you been to the free gardens in Largo yet?
seed to table is a must
No argument here, Michael! Thanks for watching.
Haha I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with those pier repairs 3 times over ten years.
I'm sure it's been quite the pleasure indeed!
Closing in on 20K
We are! Definitely an exciting milestone. Hopefully the next 20k comes much more quickly!
21:20 that's not an emu but a ñandú (Rhea americana), a South American ostrich relative.
Thanks so much for pointing this out, Jose. Someone else did as well. Until then, we had never even new that a ñandú (Rhea americana) existed.

Thanks Scully! We hope to keep making it better!
Where would you pick too live Naples are Sarasota?
We lived in Sarasota for 6 years and really enjoyed it. We've never live din Naples, but definitely could see ourselves living there. If we had to chose though, I think we would go with Sarasota mainly due to it's close proximity to St. Pete and Tampa. Plus we LOVE Siesta Key, Longboat Key, and Anna Maria Island which are very close to Sarasota.
Do you have a Marco island vid?👍🏻😃
We are working on it right now and it will be up on our channel at 10 AM EST next Saturday. Thanks for watching, Steve.

Thanks for watching!
Love Naples but the red tide is bad there now.
So sorry to hear that. We lucked out when we visited, as there did not seem to be any present at all. We hope it goes away soon!
Where did you stay on Anna Maria island?
Hi Natalie. We always just do day trips when we visit Anna Maria since we live less than an hour away.
@@Explorcation you are very lucky! My parents are snow birds in palm harbor so I go there but I always want to stay In Florida longer!
@@brooke5941 that is nice to have a place to stay when you visit, even though it is probably hard to leave. Thanks so much for watching!
yall eat out alot and stay slim. That must be nice.
Shoulda gone to lazy springs
Thanks for the recommendation. We'll definitely research this place for next time we're in the area!
$25 is definitely worth it to me. I love botanical gardens
Thanks for watching and weighing in on the Botanical Gardens, they sure are a pretty and relaxing place to explore.
@@Explorcation you're very welcome. Wherever I travel, botanical gardens are always a place i like to see.
@@randalllevy5307 have you looked into any memberships? We weren't aware that many offer reciprocal benefits. It can be an option to save a bit of money when traveling.
@@Explorcation i didn't know that either. Thanks for the info. I'm gonna have to look into that now.
@@randalllevy5307 YW!
I would pay 25 to see the gardens for sure
We wouldn't pay $25 to see most gardens, but we would for the ones in Naples. They really area amazing.
@@Explorcation Well the editing time is worth it! They are excellent! Great work!!
@@PrimeTimeTravelers thank you so much, we really appreciate the feedback and support.
How much was your stay in Naples.

We arrived in Naples today and wanted to have lunch att Harolds place. But unfortunately they have shut down business permanently 😮
@@fredrikgranberg6542 OK great thank you for confirming!
The emu was actually a rhea
Wow we honestly had never even heard of a rhea until now and didn't even realize there were any other birds in the ostrich/emu family. But upon looking up some pictures of them, you are definitely right! Thanks so much fore the information, George!
@@Explorcation Apart from that it was a great video on what to do in Naples. Thanks for sharing.
@@georgweyand88 thank you so much, we do appreciate the feedback.
Why are you showing the Pier in background it's been gone for 3 years with no plans to rebuild it
Just trying to manifest a quick rebuilding of it... unfortunately it does not seem to be working.
Naples is truly boring if you live there. I don’t recommend anyone who is under 60 move there or you will wish you were in the other side of Florida.
We could see younger, outdoorsy people enjoying the North Naples area. But from our experience the downtown Naples area definitely did seem to be geared towards an older, wealthier crowd.
Beautiful paradise offsets boring u fool
Im young and live in north naples its pretty good here for kids.
No , i would not pay $25
Thanks for weighing in, Mary!
during your viewing of the Airbnb you didn't say how much you paid.
The price can really fluctuate based on day of week and time of season. We included a link to the Airbnb in our video description, if you'd like to check the pricing for a specific date. Thanks for watching.
