In this clip, Raekwon discussed the dynamics of Wu-Tang coming together and the different constitutive parts that went into the group forming. He also talked about Ghostface being part of that mix of characters and how he was from a part of town that had a longstanding beef with his side.

One of the best to bless the mic
yup
He is born to mc he is not a rapper there's a major difference
@mc just means mic controller mane, every rapper is an mc if they got that attitude yk? Not different things… all mcs are rappers but not all rappers are mcs that type of shit
@@maxalvarez5223 no it mean it means master or mistress of ceremony
His demeanor speaks truth. Standing on being wrong, standing on being right, but recognizing when it's necessary to change...willing to speak on lessons learned...but owning who he is and or who he was... respect to Raekwon

Raekwon & Ghostface Killah lived that life and thankfully they are alive today to tell these stories.
The Chef got that “Go ahead ask me the wrong shit Glad” look on his face!! 🤣🤣

Say they wasn’t sworn enemies..Proceeds to Explain in detail how they where sworn enemies 😭
😂😂😂😂
Right lol I thought I was tripping
Word I swear I was thinking the same thing.
I was just about to comment that exact same thing 😂
That's because the street definition of sworn enemy, and your civilian's definition of sworn enemy aren't the same.
Ghostface was wild back in the day
Raekwon: “They wasn’t sworn enemies.”
Also Raekwon: proceeds to describe them as sworn enemies.
That shit killed me 😂
Rick James moment 😂
🤣🤣 I was picturing Hood Westside Story
lol but not really. I see sworn enemies literally going out their way to kill each other. What he explained was like why you walking through my hood and you not from around here. That could be any dude from a hood thats known. Its like if im selling some work on my corner and you one day trying to sell your work and im like wtf is you doing on my corner lol. You aint my sworn enemy but wtf is you doing here tho. That type of thing lol. I thought the same thing at first but i basically get what he was saying
@@odogg6899 He literally said if someone from the other side was caught in their area it would be problems. And if one guy was nice with his hands they would send their guy to test him. That's enemies dude, like they were competing with each other and not in a friendly way.
Ghostface and Raekwon are the perfect combination.

It’s crazy that Rae & Ghost became brothers after all the crazy shit they went thru….
Love is understanding, hate is the opposite. So it makes sense that they became closer after understanding each other over time

Me and Rae from the same generation. "Nice with his hands", back in the day where I grew up street fighters is who we looked up to. Not only did we aspire to be like those dudes, we actually TRAINED. I wrestled four years (Folkstyle and Greco-Roman, later I got into Judo) my man Zig was a boxer. He taught me the hand skills and I taught him grappling. Soon most of our lil click was on the wrestling team, I even started shooting D-bol(bad idea) I'd take an L here and there but for the most part I was in the W bracket! Lol! Now boys don't want to progress to being MEN, even if they WIN a fight here they come again with a damn GUN!
Maybe you could start teaching some of young men around you 💫☮️
Aren't those dubs won from cheating a little bit tho? Steroids will give you the upper hand.

So you can tell from listen to his raps and to this interview, most of what Raekwon rap about really happened and he rapped about what he really saw and lived..That's some Real nicca ish..lol.
At :36 second mark , the look on Raekwon's face says it all lol
He’s revealing too much info from the book. Maybe he’s annoyed about that shit
I’m still tripping from the last clip when he said “I would’ve been washed up on the walking tip” instead of saying he could’ve been crippled
His word play is phenomenal 😅🔥🔥🔥
The WU a special click but imo, Rae and Ghost on a different game zone wid da rap skill, they hella healthy lyricist
damn i know they get tired of interviews..i know they gotta promote their thing, but they literally get asked the same questions..they only talk about the same topics..the only difference is in how the questions are asked. When are ya'll interviewers gonna actually focus on bringing out some new content? Like why not ask him about his 1999 album, his first solo..his first time not using Rza's production and his first year acting in a movie that just so happened to have Ben Stiller in it. Why not ask how he got in that movie? Why not ask him what happened to the Cream Team, the group he was promoting in 1999? Why not ask him about 1999 in general? He was about to be 30, and he was stepping away from Wu-Tang trying to establish himself as a boss but it didn't work out..its plenty of content in that..but yall wanna ask the same old sh*t, "I heard you and ghost didnt get along back in the day"..COME ON man, its 15 years of that same question being asked on YT
On principle you are right but Vlad asks these questions because this is the type of content that gets views. Controversy and Violence sells.
@@red18tre even answers to those questions I’m sure fills the void, I hate comments like yours, like your working with being against
man i agree...theres so much else they could be talking about that hasnt bee touched on..vlad sux
Honestly, and no disrespect to you or the Wu, but I stopped being a proper fan of them a long time ago (no real reason just moved on) and have no real interest in what they have done recently. I'd rather hear about how they got started because I honestly havent heard all of these stories. I'm sure people like me make up the majority of people of viewers on VladTV as well
I do see how it must suck for real up to date fans such as yourself though, but to be fair Rae has just brought out a book and it seems like a lot of the questions are inspired by things taken from the book. We might also get some newer more relevant questions towards the middle and the end of the interview. IF not hopefully Vlad or his staff will see your comment and address this for future legendary guest.
@@cnsmooth I feel you but rae had Floyd Mayweather in his video in 1999 for his second solo project. That was a pivotal point in his life without the Wu support. Ghost was not on the album period and after 97 the Wu broke up. So 99 is the year that is symbolic as hell. And yeah the older I get the less interested I am in my childhood favorites. It's all evolution. They were young kids in the 90s not philosophers. I look at them as hip hop veterans who lived in the golden era but we shouldn't practice idolatry. Wu Tang just symbolizes the 90s for me. They make me think of nitendos and playstation 1, and mortal Kombat days.
Raekwon one of the greatest of all time this guy a Legend for real✌

😅. The good life eey🤷🏾♂️
I get the feeling that Raekwon don't really respect Vlad on a street level. Just the way he's looking at him in the first 2 minutes of the video. He probably respects him as a civilian and his platform but definitely not asking all these questions about street beefs , shootings and criminal activities.
same thing i was thinking lol
Thats because VLAD aint a street cat...He's a former DJ turned entrepeuneur interviewer...He's just doing his job. Vlad appears to be asking stuff from Raekwons Book that just got released though...in all fairness
I'm pretty sure Rae knows Vlad is just asking questions the viewers want to know.
Who cares
Looooool who the hell cares
I enjoy listening to him elaborate his experiences in life and rap.
“Yoooo!!!! Blah-ze-blah did it” 😂
Them Staten island dudes is wild ... people not from NYC/metro area don't know how bugged out SI could be. I stepped foot in SI like 15 times in my life (I'm 37), and like 9 of them was one cuz I was moving bud to a kid out there. If you don't got a reason to go there u ain't going... it's relatively big with sparse population (for NYC)... there's mad open areas and hidden away hoods without much policing where bodied get dumped and shit goes down
I swear Ghostface Killah is the Joe Pesci of Rap. Like just imagine getting in a shootout while you have delfonics playing in your whip. The way he describes that story is like a movie like yo 😤
Raekwon got them natural crazy eyes 👀
The legend grows! I think i need to acquire Rae's book, and GFK better be workin on his next.
Good to see him losing weight, intelligent with time and seeking righteousness. Trust this, these Staten guys were ruthless, drug gang feuds and all that. Rae and Ghostface were real shooters not the stories you hear other rappers saying
I AM so glad I had several times to hang with and party with Raekwon. He showed love every time..
